Are You Prepared For a Stolen Truck?

We also use the aircuff, but I had forgotten why we had purchased it! How funny brought up old memories.

Are You Prepared For a Stolen Truck?

We use this lock on the steering to deter thieves and it cannot be cut off. Great gadget and I think some of you saw it at the Expo.

Are You Prepared For a Stolen Truck?

One thing we keep in our truck is a fire proof / water proof lock box. The box would not survive a super hot fire or probably in the bottom of a lake, but overall it would help some. I got the box after hearing about a truck burning down and a truck rolling and all the contents spilled and...

stolen van AND MY DOG 2 YEAR OLD YORKIT

Just out of curiosity where are you using a computer? I was thinking of all of the things that we would lose if our truck was stolen or totaled and it is very scary to contemplate.

    OOIDA Time for elections

I feel as if one of OOIDA biggest faults is that they do not get the word out very well to drivers or really even Owner Operators!

    OOIDA Time for elections

OOIDA is for anyone driving a truck. Their benefits are huge with a lot to offer. The one thing I found out on voting was that you have to be a member a spouse cannot vote.

stolen van AND MY DOG 2 YEAR OLD YORKIT

I hope that your van is found quick and that JJ is found safe and sound. One of my fears is someone will steal our truck along with Molly or dump Molly out who has no clue how to take care of herself. I really hope this situation turns out well and my heart goes out to you!

    spreadsheet for records

I have purchased the Neat Recipe scanner and it is at home waiting for me. I am interested in what all the software will do. I was also told I would be able to scan business cards and find them much easier than I can now.

The best vacuum cleaner for the truck is?

I have been using the small craftsman shop vac for ten years and that thing still works like a charm. Our first truck had carpet and this worked well and this truck had a wood floor and it still works well. We have our dog Molly and the shop vac does a good job of getting her hair sucked up...

    Which way to go???

All above are good points but I would caution against getting the class A unless going into a T/T. If you have to go to school to get the class A the money will be wasted if you do not use it. It is my understanding that if you do not drive T/T in two years you will have to go to school once...

TEAMS What kind of miles are you getting?

I could care less how many miles we drive a week. The less miles we drive a week and the more money we make is the perfect scenario. Less miles equals less wear and tear on the truck, more money equals a happy checking/ saving account. I know I get funny looks when people ask me how many...

I am bumping this back up to the top as a reminder if you have not voting in the OOIDA elections you still have time. If not a member join read the bios or listen to Landline and vote. Last year less then 1 % of the members voted this year lets change that.

    HOS thoughts from ATA

I thought about getting Molly FCC approved, but I do not think she will pass the age test. She turned 15 in November and she is showing her age a little. She has become fond of her naps and for some reason I do not think work is in her vocabulary! She is accustomed to the life of luxury and...
