The availability of loads overall seems less in January but I am also seeing quite a few more companies fighting over the same freight. Maybe. Sometimes for that courtesy they pay much less and sometimes much later. Issues with small carriers either not paying or slow paying are all over the place in here. Sometimes being a number and getting paid on time has its rewards. ;)

If you are running with smaller carriers that you have a "rapport" with, wouldn't that be the carriers you would want to run with?

Why would you think that with regards to healthcare? Rates have went up 10 to 30 percent this year alone under most plans. Wait until we have to cover the many that don't have coverage next year. Don't see any places that will make it cheaper.

I think the planes and trains are reasonably safe. Most of the shootings and gun violence where he comes from is either drugs, bad relationships, money, or tennis shoes.

That would be the answer. If they aren't the right fit then you move on. They certainly aren't the only game in town. In most of these cases the greatest reward is to become their competition.

Oh...I just don't know? If a carrier makes millions and is increasing those millions, then cuts the drivers rate, I wouldn't see any problem with trashing them. I would certainly hope they weren't expecting any kind loyalty. One of those, "you get what you give".

Our truck was under warranty so they paid for it. Repair was done at Tag in AR. That is their collision shop.

I would probably go with Slow-ride. We had a Sterling that was eating the bearings every 50k or so when we first got it. Found out that the axle was slightly bent. Replaced axle and no problems after that. Frame shop can pull the axle and see if it is true as well as wear on the spindles.
