After reading this thread and some other ones, i'm kinda wondering if someone wants all these grand things, and has as large a resume of background and experience in this business as stated, then why, don't they just go do their own thing, make oodles of money, then they would have plenty of...

What do you consider "nothing"? There is prolly a wide range of personal deffinitions for nothing. Also, there is a wide range of capabilitys within the "straight truck" category, some can't do too much others can move semi freight. What is nothing??

I'll agree Lawrence. It's way too bad it has come to the point that we thank folks for using equipment from manufacturers you mentioned. However, myself, like the folks that bought from them, I actually enjoyed delivering their needed items, and avoided the UAW broken companys like the plague...

I wouldn't mess with a "used" lift axle. You just don't know how they have been used (abused). Saving a couple hundred bucks me tink, might cost dearly in installation and safety costs.
