Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy...

And, that "statement" soup gets really, really thin, i'd imagine. Be hard to keep it in the spoon.

Santa Claus, The Easter Bunny, The Tooth Fairy...

More than likely the "cut throat" ended up with a couple buks a mile or better. A couple skids @ $250 for 600 miles ain't great. However, if you have 8 couple skid loads from NJ to the Cinci area @ $250 yer not doing too bad. Seems like a couple K for 600 miles. I know, I know, ya gotta...

    FedEx B, C, D, E-Units

I'm going to take a GUESS here, and being i'm only GUESSING, I can't be held accountable. But, I'll GUESS, that anytime you take a CUT in rates, it would affect your bottom line. Lets take a vote.

    FedEx B, C, D, E-Units

Frankly, i'd have to suggest, the comments are only BELOW one of intelligence levels. And, seems to be made in jest. Threatening a Court of Law?? And he wants to be the "change" vehicle. har, har, har!!

    FedEx B, C, D, E-Units

Actually, that is the ONLY way to be comfortable in this business. It takes quite a bit of EFFORT, and a lot of COOPERATION from EVERYONE. And that is why it's not done by the mainstream. But, it certainly works WELL, when it works.

    Unified effort

It's a way good point easy. And a demand like that is ONLY the tip of the iceberg with many. Many just can't be happy having a good load and getting it done. It's hard to decifer if it is a demand or a "try", but it's still **** aggrivating.

But Missie, Disney didn't get successful by being touchy feeley ya know. The real problem is - - the folks you work with won't let ya be nice to them. Human nature.

    Our Second Question!

due to what seems to be the new expediting environment, maybe we could start a nitch market truck setting. that way the expediters could go on vacation while waiting for a load, an we could have her all loaded up and pointed toward the delivery when they get back. Any takers? Course i'd want...

    Obama: Mandatory Service for All?

At least the young'uns would get some kind of wake up call and structure in their late teens insteada going thru life in lala land like most do now. Value would depend on if it's touchy feely, or something worthwhile.

The Thread You Can Use When You Need To

Actually, very few observations are insults. Jes if the insultee is carrying some skeleton they turn from happy camper to insulted waayyy to quickly.

    Panther out of business?

Combining loads? WOW, what a novel idea. I did that for years. But, all involved have to be on the ball, and that is a tuff gig to put in place with the status quo of the grey process out there.

E-track load bars, what do you do with them?

We always installed a dedicated etrac in the front at the top of the box for storage. They were high enough to afford clearance for even the tall pallets when not needed. We carried 12-15 in each truck (we did a lot of decking). Kind of a pain because you needed a step stool to store or...

    Expedite slow down?

Attitude is 50%. Seems you folks have it. myself i'd be looking for a smaller company with lower overhead, if I were starting this now. Still lots of freight out there. If you are look'in.

    Things will be slow.

I won't subscribe to the 'newbee juice" theory. Attitude about what they are doing plays a major role. Seen many that were on a "roll" hit their quota, laid down, then wondered wa happin'in when they lost momentum. Seems the Chef is the type that WANTS to see what's over the next hill. Many...

    Sprinter temtress in yard

Ah tj, jes git in her and go down and work I-10 for the winter. Cold fingers problem solved. Don't have any suggestions for the wife, daughter excuse tho. But, it is a temptation. I'm happy there isn't any equipment in my yard anymore to make it easy to regress.
