Do cargo vans even have any sort of future in expediting?

When Sprinters run for what CVs run for, CVs lose. Shippers are probably saying, "might as well send me a Sprinter". And CVs run less than they used to run for.

The rabbit got away!! Yes, Bob's too busy driving to post. ;) 899 total miles, all paid as loaded, somehow. A little discounted, but a good roll IMHO. It took almost ALL day tho. Whew!! Be safe UncleBob!!! Also, be safe BillG27 & Ysracer on your current loads!! Hang in there, Drifter!! We're...

Trying like a MOTHER!!! Was holding out for that long one you wanted. Could have probably moved you on 3-4 between 300-450 miles. But fingers crossed.

I'm going to kind of miss working from home

They're cheap off the Internet and you can even get free shipping. Or at least i did about 10-12 years ago.

    Load One Trucks sitting

No one likes a "Conditional" rating. But I'm sure they are ALL OVER getting whatever issues that caused it straightened right up.

    Who to sign on with?

Yes, many carriers will be judged incorrectly in the next month. And even more may have been incorrectly blamed for market conditions over the last 3 months & 7 months. Those seem to be the timeframes that we felt the screws tighten up a little more. IMHO.

Sorry, Charles!! Meant to extend congratulations the other day but I was JEALOUS!!!! You had a several year jump on us and you deserve that big corner office!! Great job!! I look forward to using you guys for crossdocks (instead of the dreaded R....) until we jump into an office and warehouse...

    Welcome to June, 2014

Finished auto parts. I actually didn't haul quite that high a percentage if finished parts. Bad guess. Those numbers were probably ALL auto parts, finished or not.

    Welcome to June, 2014

If there's no auto freight the next few weeks, then yes. That's for sure. I don't know what percentage is auto & truck, but the loads I carried were probably at least 1/2 or more auto & truck parts. Maybe 60-65%. IMHO

    Welcome to June, 2014

It was truly a rough bidding day. I imagine your carrier actually has customers, but our average on the posted loads was not great today. I guess Monday was "cheap, cheap, cheap day".

    New Ford Van

Me, if I were in the market. Not sure about on "day one", but I'm betting pretty soon replacement parts will be much more readily available than Sprinter parts. Now, I should note that I have NO experience with Sprinters or their parts. So my opinion means squat, here. Heck, my opinion might as...

    Welcome to June, 2014

I hear ya!! I remember having a heck of a time about 20 years ago doing a simple crown molding project at home. Getting that trim right for the 90 degree corners and angled "down" seemed impossible! I'm sure I probably wasted several pieces of trim before I slowed down enough to get it right...
