    Sprinter vs. Van

Congrats on the Canadian bucks but my example was $103,123 USD; that FEdEx CC team had no homelife either.

    Sprinter vs. Van

I haven't net $50K in vans since starting in 1989. I have seen documentation of one van team and one van solo that have done it; $103K gross to the team and $88K gross to the solo. Many others have said they did it, but I think they were being a bit careless with the truth.

    Best company (van)for south-east

Hobo I don't recall ever saying, or believing, that all expedite companies are the same, if I did, you take my comment out of context. I have no personal knowledge of the operating policies of Nations. I chose them because they devote a lot of time operating out of the GA and Carolina's, the...

Two Kinds of "Out of Service"

RE: Two Kinds of Whether required or not required by your carrier or the government, I think it would be a wise business decision for a CDL holder to get a drug and alcohol test after any accident. There are too many litigious people in this world who would see the logo on your truck and...

    Best tires for B-Unit

I have been using Michelin E rated tires as replacements on each of my vans. Typically I get upwards of 185,000 miles on each set. I think tirre pressure and frequent rotations are the key to long life. I keep 65# front and 75# rears, when cold. Costco has been a great place for me. I pay...

SPLIT AND A TERRIBLE OWNER-OPERATOR AGREEMENT

JohnO said it all...research is so important whenever you are about to enter an unfamiliar territory. You said it yourself, a 60/40 or 40/60 split is typical so a huge red flag should have popped up on your screen when you were offered an 85/15 split. Good luck on your next try.

Where to park in Chicago over holidays?

In a former life, when I commuted to St Louis, I had an arrangement with a nearby church that allowed me to park there for a monthly 'donation' I paid about half that charged by the commercial garage. Perhaps a similar arrangement could be made with a Chicago church, particularly one with a...

During the past couple of years I have observed my Garmin miles, Odometer miles (less fuelin n eatin stop miles) and Qualcomm run offer miles to be inceredibly close, so close, plus or minus, that it's a non-issue with us. As mentioned above, the law of averages usually settles things...
