And before too long we are to believe that a burger flipper should get $30.00 per hour? It is all what the market is willing or unwilling to pay. No need to complicate the simple.

I don't know? Maybe they think you run cheaper than the others as you indicated?

They got over-saturated with van drivers that requires minimal skill. The more competition, the lower the cost/pay.

Pretty simple. They bid on loads that go to say Detroit. Only need a hour or so between drops to unload them. Very easy.

Then they are running at .94 cents according to you. No wonder you are beetching if they pay you .94 and you think you are only getting .70. Good grief. Also......you are absolutely clueless as to what really goes on in Laredo. The problem isn't Panther or E-1. The problem is...

It is probably much easier not to over think it. If someone is new and is basing their entire decision on a carrier that is in a "five star" advertising column, they probably shouldn't be considering expediting in the first place.

Bloomberg will blame it on people drinking too much soda. ;)

    Should O/O Welcome Reduced HOS?

Yep.....I see nothing gained in trying to block the fuel islands. Makes no sense. If you are going to fight a change, that certainly wouldn't be the answer. In my opinion it would only "fuel the fire" of a driver not having the capacity to plan their day out. Oh...and since I have driven a TT...

Are you sure they didn't pass that cost on to their drivers? Some in the truckload side have done that.

Someone probably filed on it for non payment. Drivers currently there might want to review that and be prepared for their plan "B".

Have to agree. That is why I have been against that set up from the get go. Way too many people come on and raise the pom-poms for it only to come back months later with a carrier that didn't pay them. Another one of those "You have been warned".

Have you cargo vanners tried hauling air freight?

Was the blown turbo from lack of maintenance? Too easy not to ask. With 13k on the clock, should be under warranty.

    American Investment?

So now we find out that the entire Tsarnaev family (Dad, Mom, 2 sons & 2 daughters) started receiving government assistance as soon as they set foot in our country. As political refugees they were entitled to settlement assistance from day one. (Section 8 Housing, public healthcare, food...

    Pressure Cookers

Since it is the terrorist new weapon of choice, I would have reservations of one in the truck. Especially doing any kind of military/government loads. Imagine a border crossing and they are doing the x-ray scan. Might clear out a parking lot.

    Telling Dispatchers To Go..........

From a carrier standpoint, a larger concern would be that if you are comfortable talking to dispatchers in that fashion, it is likely that same person will talk to a customer that way. Some just don't have the ability to articulate themselves very well.

    Telling Dispatchers To Go..........

If the escrow is $1000, how did you make all of your escrow back? Lets say your rate is .77 plus FSC, they only advance on the linehaul. So, .77 x say 1800 miles 1386. But you can only get .55 percent of the linehaul. That would be 762.30. Panther might take you up on that. And that is assuming...
