My start to finish in expediting

A few I would say are the same source but most are not.

    Hope for Youth?

And that is why you have to provide work for the people that are desperate. Look, we have thrown billions with a capital "B" at welfare and guess what, the number doesn't change. It goes up. So giving them everything under the sun is not the answer. That should only apply to vets and the...

My start to finish in expediting

Probably time for another reality check. The truth is mostly in the middle of the two observations/conversations. It is true that there is a massive daily bidding war on van freight. That is why you see the rates you do. Part of it is competition and part of it is carrier greed. Most of...

    ACA Another take

Probably so. I will give them credit though, the 50k that signed up I believe are the navigators.

    ACA Another take

I read today that the good news is with Obamacare is that they signed up 440,000 people for medicaid. The bad news is only 50,000 signed up in the exchanges. Since the 440,000 is Free Insurance, they don't have anyone to pay for it. Oops, I guess they do. Wait until people see those rates on...

I believe you have just made the argument for able body people to work for their benefits.

You hit the right answer. If you have kids at home, expediting is not for you.

    How do teams get paid?

I can do 40 percent on a paid for truck for a solo (currently have one) but I would not recommend doing it with a truck that has payments. Rather than trade it in when the new one arrived we put a solo in this particular truck. Same solo is it in it four years later. Go figure.

    Hope for Youth?

I don't think anyone wants to deny benefits to the elderly, disabled or the sick. Same thing if someone is drawing unemployment. They pay in to that program they should be able to draw those benefits. Same with welfare. Bad things happen to good people, but I would say after three years of...

How Expediting has changed from 20 years ago.

Ah yes, the good ole days.

How Expediting has changed from 20 years ago.

Probably thinking mid to late 80's. I think back then Ameritech (early 90's) ran the first service but it didn't provide service everywhere. The answer I guess was using QC and a pager system.

    Super Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan)

How Expediting has changed from 20 years ago.

Very true and in the early days the carrier paid for them.

How Expediting has changed from 20 years ago.

"Everything has changed but the rates" Actually quite a lot of truth in that. It has become much more competitive thanks to technology. The old veil of secrecy has been lifted. Some were quick to change and some still haven't figured it out. Probably also contributed to the camaraderie you had...

    Cat C7 white smoke

Could be a sensor but I don't believe he is getting a code. A bad sensor should through a code.

    CARB may loosen rules

They didn't count the reefers so I am just wondering if it is just the possibility of a toilet paper shortage they are worried about?
