With FedEx we had the choice to activate the "page" when a load offer came in. Also, just to clarify, the page is simply that, a page that lets you know a load offer was sent to the truck. It isn't a long text message with load info or anything. I'd like to see Panther implement a similar system

Lawrence, It's not the Astoria, it's the Pierre Hotel. We were up there for a Fenway Partners meeting to show them how the truck was set up. An interesting experience to say the least :P

When we were with FedEx, it was nice to get a page that said we had a load offer. We didn't worry about whether or not dispatch remembered that we were "out of truck on cell". It was an automatic page whenever the load offer was sent to the truck. Personally, I'd love it if I never had to...

RE: My week in dispatch. Favoritism? Definitely no Excellent post! Many times when we don't get an immediate answer to a question, we forget that we are just one of the hundreds of questions that are being asked at the same time. Thank you for spending the "week" and reporting your findings. :)

Thank you for the update Dave. As a new Panther team, there are things we believe need improvement, but are reserving judgment. It will be interesting to see what happens.

I'm spoiled, I admit it ;) A buddy of ours pulls tankers and he calls our truck a "freight capable RV" :P

We had PrePass in a previous truck and loved it! The transponder for this new truck is waiting at our house. Of course it arrived the afternoon we left home. Go figure. :+ I never realized you could cause a red by something that you were doing. Thanks for the info! :)

My pet peeve....no signage and dispatch that gives one piece of information at a time! Give me all the information I need to know right from the start. Picking up or delivering and find out they need a contact name. x(

We love driving as a team! :) When we do have that occasional arguement we laugh about how "zipping the curtain" just doesn't have the same effect as slamming the door. }>

I've been noticing signs like these at some of the Flying J's in the "RV" parking areas too. x(
