Lookin' good. :) Can you completely remove the pedestal under that passenger seat? Make sure that that recliner is insanely comfortable. Comfortable is the key to expediting. If you're not comfortable in the van, you won't want to spend much time in it. And good, comfortable sleep is...

Wal-Mart credits a fuel additive mix

OVM, if you were to choose one product, I'd recommend 4 ounces or so of the Meaner Power Kleaner at all times where the temperatures are likely to be above freezing, and then use Howes Diesel Treat in sub-freezing temperatures. Even then, I'd still recommend tossing in a few ounces of Power...

    Espar D2 Cargo Van

If the van is insulated well, the D2 should be fine. It'll have to work harder, but it will, absolutely, keep you toasty. The D2 will work in this Sprinter, too, but I went with the D4 for several reasons. The way the Airtronic works is, it'll go through its warm up, then fire up in BOOST mode...

    Interior Lights for Sprinter

The switches on the cargo lights in the Sprinter are the worst. The driver dome light in the Freightliner version is the same as the cargo lights. I swear, some kid brought home a box of Cracker Jacks, and a his dad, a Mercedes engineer, saw the prize in there, and decided it would be perfect...

    new Sprinter

" Maybe a dumb question, but why not use the flooring and tie downs that come in the sprinter?" You can, certainly. But the flooring will, absolutely, get torn up, and it's easier to replace (or repair) a sheet of plywood that has been laid down on top of the factory sheeting than it is to...

Wal-Mart credits a fuel additive mix

I use Howes. Power Service improves my fuel economy by exactly zero. FOr what it does, Power Service is great. It provided lubricity, disperses water, engine boost, etc., but Howes does all that with less ounces per tank, and has the added benefit of giving me better fuel mileage. Howes Diesel...

Expedite Expo 2007, Just Got Back

This was my first Expo, and I was thoroughly impressed. Not only was it much bigger than I expected, it was much more organized than I expected. It was a genuine treat and a real honor to meet Lawrence, Jeff, and Dale, as well as the other great people here from EO. I tip my hat to you all.

Wal-Mart credits a fuel additive mix

Power Service's Diesel Kleen got a significant boost when Wal-Mart officials said it contributed to a small improvement in fuel economy when tested in their fleet of more than 7,000 tractors. In 2005, Wal-Mart pledged to work with truck makers to double the fuel efficiency of its trucks from 6.5...

    new Sprinter

Actually, Rino linings are more rubbery, things don't slide all that well on it. A Line-X lining is harder and slicker, and things will slide around on it much easier. Rhino’s Tuff Stuff goes on cold/low pressure and will have that “cottage cheese†or “rain on the windshield†look, and...

    Koni Shocks

On my old Ford I had that Shimmy, Shimmy Ko-Ko Bop. Installed new shocks and that Shimmy it went stop. Monroe Reflex Shocks and Struts Monroe Sensa-Trac Shocks and Struts Monroe Gas-Magnum Shocks are all warranted for life when used on private passenger cars and light duty trucks under...

"Largest Expediting Company in the County"

They claim it right there on their ad on the Home Page of this site, as well as in their ad in the latest Expedite Now magazine. Greg, maybe they're including all the companies that Fenway Partners controls, like RoadLink, Greatwide Logistics, Targus (laptop accessories), Easton Bell (helmets...

Good Times, Good Food - You're Invited...

It was fun meeting Lawrence and Jeff, and listening to Terry's best Public Address voice over the loudspeaker (hehe). Oh, and I got to meet 2/3 of Team Caffee!!...Bob and the dog. :D

    Koni Shocks

I installed Koni shocks and struts on my Sprinter. It's detailed, along with a ton of unrelated stuff, here: http://www.expeditersonline.com/dcforum/DCForumID16/1814.html Problem with Monroe shocks, which are good shocks, is that have to be replaced about every 60,000 miles. Koni's are...

    Best Synthetic Oil??

LOL No. Music major here. Go figure. I dunno. Scientists have shown that the moon is moving away at a tiny yet measurable distance from the earth every year. If you do the math, you can calculate that 85 million years ago the moon was orbiting the earth at a distance of about 35 feet...

    new Sprinter

I've found that, for the most part, you really don't want the freight sliding around all that much. hehe I was gonna use plastic for the deck, but I've seen plastic get pretty chewed up, too. A small pebble or piece of metal that falls under a skid, for example, can make a real mess out of...

    new Sprinter

Well, first thing you should do is insulate it like crazy. Plan on about 5 days to do it. Yeah, I know. Then consider a Fan-Tastic Fan Vent or some other type of air vent. Then concentrate on the freight side of things. E-Track, plywood deck. Do you want e-track on the walls? Carry a couple...

    Fedex loads to Express1

"...therefore, there was no invasion of privacy." Maybe not, but it sure violates the spirit of it. It is clear that he did not want his real name associated with that user name, for whatever reason. He certainly has that right. It's more than a little disturbing that a moderator would do this...

    Fedex loads to Express1

I dunno... unless hanceh's real name was already publicly available to all EO members, well... I mean, did Terry or another moderator, or moderators, do a little research and put the two together, and then post the name? Thaaaaaat's a dangerous slope. :'(

    Getting to the Expo

It's just a load. <shrug> There'll be more where that one came from. Other than when I took off to do the shelves and other stuff, I rarely am out of service and take time off. I figure the information and knowledge gained at the Expo will pay me back far more than running the 1472 miles would have.
