A new discount has been added to the extranet recently.
There is now a discount to purchase On Spot Automatic chains.
We have been talking to drivers for several years who have the On Spots and how pleased they are with the chains and this company.
We were finally able to get the...
My daughter sent me this link as she thought it was perfect for truck drivers:
Welcome to BookCrossing
This reminds of geocaching as when we make a find we record the find or if we move a trackable the owner can see where all his token has traveled.
Most books once I am finished reading...
Don't FORGET the Conference Call tonight with BRYAN MARTIN from 4 State Trucks informing us of the disaster and recovery of his hometown JOPLIN, MO. BRYAN will be answering questions of what WE CAN DO to HELP those who are affected by this horrible tragedy. 7:00 EDT 712-432-0075 access code 243977#
I cannot wait to meet him. One of our friends was interviewed by him for a TA magazine article and he was very impressed.
Sounds like he is very nice in person.
The Expo is going to be amazing this year!
I believe before an officer got into our box I would make a note on our BOL that he got inside the box.
Your logs would indicate you were stopped at a scale and the notation on your paperwork would need to include his name and badge number. I would ask him to initial the paperwork and if he...
I prefer that we not be sealed so we can check our freight and if something is wrong we can fix it.
We have a very good lock on our truck and we prefer this method to a seal. A seal advertises that we are loaded while many trucks have a lock loaded or not.
I am so sorry to hear about your loss and thanks for sharing the information on what happened with your dog.
Losing a good friend is very hard and tears at your heart for a long time.
I see that every one of us when we put the freight on the truck we are driving become owners of that freight. We as the owners and ultimately the ones responsible for the freight being delivered safely.
The idea of putting a seal on a truck so a DOT officer cannot see how we secured the...
We do the same as you if we are close to home we will go home for a couple of days. The longest we have stayed out was three months and we took a couple weeks off when we made it home. Two months at a time is about our average if nothing is going on.
I have been reading through all of the posts on checking the securement of freight and I am scratching my head a little.
As professionals our job is to make sure our freight is delivered as perfect as it was when loaded at the shipper. One rule we were told was secure the freight to make it...
Steve DEF has nothing to with fuel and all to do about exhaust.
I agree the government can come up with some odd rules and I am sure they will find more ways to tax DEF as well as everything else in the future.
Heck I was trying to figure out how I said it so wrong as I thought it was pretty simple math. I cannot imagine wanting a bigger tank as DEF weighs in at 9 lbs per gallon while diesel weigh in at approximately 7.05 per gallon. As time goes on and more places have bulk DEF tanks I see the tanks...

DEF usage is sure not going to add much to our cost of doing business. So far we have paid 2.60 a gallon for DEF after purchasing in bulk at the Pilot and Loves truck stops.
Our first fill up was 474.56 MPG
Second fill up was 529.59 MPG
As our fuel mileage goes up so will our DEF MPG...
Nope I have never driven one of those vehicles. In a truck we have a little more privacy when driving...
Our shirts are embroidered with our names as well as have the FedEx logo on them and they are deductible.
I have not decided yet and I am devastated over NO Mac and Cheese. Maybe that is what I need to bring I cannot imagine a BBQ without. I am looking forward to Jenny's new creation.
The BBQ is going to even better then last years. I sure hope it is not as hot as it was last year.
That bench looks really hard.
I was just talking with a friend of mine the other day who was heading out to go camping. They were all gathering up their air mattresses, no more sleeping on the ground and waking up stiff and sore.
