We've been tracking fuel mileage in this truck very closely for the last year. We have discovered that our best mileage comes when we run 63-65 on open highway. The tach is right at 1400 at that speed. When there any hills, if we run slower than that our fuel mileage drops. If we slow down to...

Morningstar, we've only been to Maine once this year, and DHed back down to Portsmouth, NH. Also, we've only had 2 loads come out of NH this year. Gov load out of Nashua, and general load out of Londonderry.

First off...Broker, I apologize for derailing your thread just a little. :o You said it better than I Linda, that was kinda what I was getting at. Many times expediters are looked down upon by the T/T side as if we are NOT truck drivers and we definitely are. I do agree that the business...

I'm confused, Expediters are not truckers? Then what am I? I am driving a truck, I haul freight for a living, I live in a box for weeks at a time etc. but I'm not a trucker?

I always try to maintain a distance between me and the vehicle in front of me. I'm terrified that I might run over a car if the conditions warrant a quick brake. What upsets me is when I have my cushion, and 3 cars decide to fill that space as the traffic slows!! More than once, I've watched...

We also run with Airtabs. Our fuel mileage has increased, although I'm not sure if that's a fluke or from the Airtabs. The best part of the Airtabs is clearer vision to the rear, the back doors are cleaner, and we don't get shaken by the wind like before.

Does anyone else have trouble with scanning carbon copies? Even with darkening the copy, the carbon still comes out way too light most times

I watched that video...6 sec was all it took from the time the truck came into the picture until it was over the side! Scarey! When we head home we have a vinyl shop that we are heading to. Who would know that there are 2 of us if we aren't able to tell them? Thanks for the reminder Linda.

Our Bugsy sleeps with us too. Didn't start out that way, except during the all night team runs. Then he got to be such a great sleeping buddy he just moved in. LOL Winter is the best time, he's such a great electric blanket and he's easy to move around. Summer on the other hand is a little...
