Yes, we leave a tip if the service is exceptional. We've also made a point of telling the manager when the service is exceptional.

We have the Neat Receipts scanner, and it worked great until.....VISTA :mad: Now I see from the website that they are coming out with another upgrade (which of course costs) We now use a Canon flatbed scanner, and an HP Deskjet Printer. Doesn't take up much room.

After all this discussion, it still comes down to finding a company that fits YOU, your equipment, your business plan, your goals etc. If Panther is working out for you that's great, it may not work out for someone else.

Turtle, I am running Vista with the Transflo program and so far no problems that I've found. I will probably still use the truckstop scanning most of the time, it's just easier to me, but I like the fact that I now have the option if we aren't near a truck stop that has scanning. As far as...

I downloaded and tried it yesterday since we're stuck at a Flying J. Seemed to work fine. I checked paperwork this afternoon and it has been received by Panther. :)

We don't own the truck, or pay for fuel. But if it were up to us, we'd probably do that. We tried running 58-60 mph for a few months and the fuel mileage dropped to about 7mpg overall. So we bumped it up, I just looked, and last month we got an average of 7.6 mpg this month so far, 7.8 mpg

The WV turnpike is also getting better, they have been working on that section around Paint Creek that used to jar your fillings. BUT, that road can "wake you up" if you aren't paying attention! There is one curve that gets me every time. :eek:

Good to hear that Panther is working out well for you. As Leo likes to say "all companies have warts", but it sounds like you've found a place that fits you. We've been here 2 years (with a short break) and although we didn't like it at first, we are happy now.

All the companies out here are directional...if you'd like to go north they send you south....want east? you'll go west... The key is in the thinking...Never never have the thought that you want to go in a particular direction and you'll go exactly where you want to go :D

I have to add...KY roads are improving and I think that TN except around the major cities have pretty good roads.

I think it would be easier to list the roads that are in fairly good shape. Thinking.....thinking...hmmmm :cool:
