I thought about it back in 2005 when I bought my Sprinter, but decided against it since it wasn't needed. I have a 26 gal tank and it lasts for 600+ miles. I usually pass through a cheaper state by the time I burn through 26 gallons. Gotta love a diesel.

Hopefully I will be close by, cause I want to attend.

You are just like me. When something breaks, I have to take it apart to see why it broke. Let us know what you find out.

The small gas engines don't have that much low rpm torque, so any sight of a hill signals a downshift. If you want torque, and no downshifts, get a diesel. This is the reason I won't consider a gasser. I wanted to go and test drive a diesel Transit, but changed my mind. What about if I like it...

If I remember correctly, the most I've been out is 3 weeks, but that was back in the day when freight was plentiful. More recently, if Friday comes around and not a good chance of a load, I drive home. Cheaper that way than to stay out 3 days or more.
