    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

I don't know if you can do it if you are not already signed on with a company. My friend was already signed on, bought the van, didn't pay the taxes at the dealership, but got a bill from the state to pay the taxes. Then he provided them with the lease, etc and never heard back from them yet...

About to pick up a 2015 FORD TRANSIT i5 3.2 DIESEL..

My personal conviction is that all the extra warranties that they try to sell us are money grabs for them, so I never bothered. I've read too many stories that they will find a reason not to pay in the event you break down. I would save that money and keep it in a maintenance account and if you...

    Thinking about getting into Expediting

Jerry, welcome to EO. I would strongly suggest that you dont buy anything right away. Drive for an owner for 6 months, learn the ropes of expediting, and see if you can stand it. Some people cant stand the sitting, and in this business you will sit. If you dont like it, you can turn the van...

    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

Pretty good price. Don't know what state you live in, but in some states you don't have to pay sales tax if the van is used in interstate commerce. I know Ohio and Tennessee are like that. Check it out, you might save some money. Sent from my SM-G900P using EO Forums mobile app

    Insurance

I suspect that location, location, location has a lot to do with it. I used to live in GA and the insurance company icreased my personal car's premium a lot. I havent had a ticket or accident in more than 10 years. Then I moved to TN and it dropped a lot. I dont know if commercial insurance...

    Insurance

Why do you need primary liability and cargo? Isn't L1 providing those? I know with Panther, Fedex and Landstar, they provide those, and I provide the non trucking liability, physical damage, and contractor protection. Sent from my SM-G900P using EO Forums mobile app

    Found a co driver

Now folks, this is why experienced people on here advise newbies to drive for someone else for a while. Imagine the world of hurt this guy would be in if he bought a truck. He couldn't just walk away. Jim, hope you find another good codriver.

    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

I have to follow UncleBob's example and offer my apologies also. I know I read before stuff about this issue but it came from our neighbors to the north. I believe it is British Columbia where you can be pulled over, weighed if the officer notices that your vehicle tires are low, or your tail...

    2014 Dodge ProMaster 3500 3.0 I-4 Diesel vs 2015 Ford Transit 350 I-5 3.2 Diesel

That is not mine. I don't believe Landstar vans show up on your board. I am empty, and my van is rated at 2500 with Landstar even though legally I can carry 3000+. Anything more than 2500-2600 lbs can go on a straight truck. Now I understand what your comment was about going to Marietta, GA.
