It was just checked, and fixed, a month ago. The rear end housing had a crack in it and it was leaking. We had that welded. That repair was fine. It was a wheel seal that gave out. I am going to have the other side replaced, a preemptive strike so to speak.

Not that I know of, BUT, if someone knows I am all ears. This is going to be very costly. New bearings, new rear brakes, new spindle, the seal etc., not to mention the labor costs. I would have LOVED to know a way to have seen this coming in advance.

I would be happy if we are back in service by morning. It's 0933, no one here yet.

Will be here all day. Just talked to the shop people, the guy who is doing the spindle will be here around 0930. Then he has to do the work and they say it takes about 4 hours to cool enough to be able to do the rest of the work.

At the TA in Seymour, broken. Blew a rear wheel seal last night. The spindle is toast. Had to have FDCC take us off of two loads we were on for today. Been here since about midnight, NO telling how long we will be here. :(

My Garmin does not even know that a truck that is 13' 2" can go out of NYC on I95S and likes to route me over the LOWER level on the GW. And yes, it is updated every time I am home.
