    What is she worth?

Our new truck is just about ready to roll so our Sprinter will be up for sale very soon. What do you think she's worth? I want advice on how much to ask. (No, I do not want to hire a driver). 2006 Dodge 3500 Sprinter with raised floor, 64" high x 58" wide x 13-1/2' cargo area. Well insulated...

    Refrigerator help!!!!

On many home refrigerators there is a small fan that blows air from the freezer side to the refrigerator side when required. You may check that because that fan may stop working if you have one.

    Hit and run driver

I don't know if it works on trucks but a CarFax on a car will tell you the what's & where's of incidents, repairs, etc.

How big of an A/C do I need?

I have a 13,500 BTU rooftop and a 3200 watt generator and an 800 watt microwave. Between the microwave and the air conditioner, that's all the 3200 watt generator will power. In Laredo, I need ALL 13,500 BTUs to keep cool, even in an insulated Splinter!

    The natives are getting restless

I think John Elliott is still having way too much fun to sell his company anytime soon. I know everything is for sale in business but I would bet heavy that John stays in the game with Load-1.

    3 skids PLUS 3 feet

One other real negative - the translucent roof would cook you alive in Laredo!!!!

    3 skids PLUS 3 feet

Without question, this would be the 11,030 GVW chassis. However, I'm sure you could spec the 9,900 GVW Sprinter cab/chassis, resulting in a 2,900ish lbs payload. But there is no real advantage over the extended Sprinter AND the fuel mileage would be worse. This would not be "The Ultimate" at all.

Re: Anybody at Panther planning on buying 2014 Sprinter and looking for parttime driv It is shifting normally. We try to drive our 2006 like there are eggs taped to the pedals. I understand that some just quit without any warning at all...

Re: Anybody at Panther planning on buying 2014 Sprinter and looking for parttime driv The $950+ came from American Transmission right there in Oklahoma, recommended by SilverStar Transmission. I thought Jenny's was $3,300ish plus their motel bill???

Anybody at Panther planning on buying 2014 Sprinter and looking for parttime driver?

Re: Anybody at Panther planning on buying 2014 Sprinter and looking for parttime driv I believe he said the warranty was one year or 100,000 miles if properly installed. My local Splinter dealer offers a remanufactured unit through Dodge with the same warranty for $4,000 or they rebuild it...

Anybody at Panther planning on buying 2014 Sprinter and looking for parttime driver?

Re: Anybody at Panther planning on buying 2014 Sprinter and looking for parttime driv That's just wonderful... my original transmission has 460,000 miles on it! I think the least expensive replacement is about $3,400 installed, with many in the $5-6,000 range installed.

    Sprinter advice...

The 2006 Splinter was the best ever. BTW, 11 YEARS of development (2002 - 2013) and the Splinter is still prone to well known problems! Why fix them when you are the only game in town??? Let's see how the 2014 holds up. I'm never going to let Mercedes experiment on me again. Good Luck!

Re: Anybody at Panther planning on buying 2014 Sprinter and looking for parttime driv A lot of transmission failures are caused by low fluid, characterized by a terrible sound like driving over chatter bumps. Smart drivers stop immediately. Unfortunate drivers keep driving, which kills the...

Re: Anybody at Panther planning on buying 2014 Sprinter and looking for parttime driv Resonators, belt tensioners, EGR valves, pressure hoses, and mysterious wiring failures are fairly regular occurrences after 250,000 miles. Although I've been lucky, many transmissions, engines, and rear...

    Sprinter advice...

I know you love the good old Splinter. I have a 2006 too. My Splinter gets 22 MPG @ 65 MPH. No joke. That's what they get on average, less when loaded heavier.
