    Kicked out by TA

We were in Denton TA and cops came and blocked us in and started asking drivers questions. Curiosity got the best of me so I went to see what happened and found out someone got robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight. This was in the truck parking area.

    Kicked out by TA

That's odd we have never had that happen. The flying j in phoenix on 67th street was running off bob tails from the front lot but letting expediters stay. Kinda nice not having to worry about being told to leave.

    New Company

Just curious but how did you just start an expedite company with no equipment and no authority? It isn't as easy as that. Also rectifiers do not broker freight brokers do. Also you will need your authority, equipment and insurance before you can haul freight. As stated before brokers like to deal...

    irs and sub contractors

Also stated is: Employees are told when, where and how to work. So sounds to me if you are told what load to take or where you are to stop for fuel or what town to go to be closer to a better area and it is non negotiable WE ARE EMPLOYEES!

    irs and sub contractors

Actually Greg what a contractor, subcontractor and employee are all defined in this manual and not being rude but I would suggest you do research in the book and see. Subcontractors as stated in the manual use their own tools or equipment. Employees do not. Computer programmers really? Your...

    irs and sub contractors

All this info came from the pub. 17 from the IRS. That is a free manual many in this business are not aware they can obtain by calling. This manual is highly advised for anyone in the business classified as a contractor.

    irs and sub contractors

After some research I have determined we are employees because we are running a truck for an owner. Sub contractors are anyone contracted by the original contractor that uses HIS/HER OWN TOOLS to do the the job. If you drive for an owner that is NOT the case. Also if the owner tells you what...

    Fedex delivery

The person that posted the video had contacted fedex first. One of fedex big wigs said that they did get the complaint but didn't take the accusation seriously. I would have posted it too, a-team. What good is a damaged computer screen if the shipping company acts like it's no big deal?

    Let The Bidding Begin

Just because he can book his own loads doesn't mean there is freight going near the drivers home. Also in some cases backhauls pay less than a company brokered load.
