It only takes a second to update your log when your status changes. What are you going to do when dot pulls in to truck stop,rest area etc and your the lucky one to get the inspection? This happened to me a few years ago and I was out of service for 34 hours.

We top off when we hit half a tank. Kinda prevents this kind of thing. No gas stations open? That's a terrible situation to be in.

Walmart charges $.15 a page to fax and many have truck parking. I rarely use a truck stop to fax anything.
