Halogen bulbs, as explained to me, will usually fail within a short time of each other. The cause, so I heard, when one blows, it sends a surge of power to the other, making it's failure imment. When ya replace one, might as well do both. I have found it to be true. So I just replace them...

I thought the discussion was concerning the need to log, i.e., below 10,000 pounds. Those "Maxx's", with dual wheels are rated at 12,000 pounds, or above, The upfitter can REDUCE it to less than 10,000. At which time it is no longer subject to DOT regs, such as log books. I have no issue...
