    Sprinter Vans

Yes, I've heard buzz of this while talking to the reg's at the Detroiter and the most popular reason being... a 2.7 liter engine is too small as this model is an import from Europe, 70 to 80 MPH over here plus the weight takes a toll on these small engines. JuJu and I are waiting to till they...

As they may be connected...

It took a panel of experts and how many free lunches on the taxpayers to figure this one out???? New Hours of Service Regs

On the issue of upgrading van weight limits I was refering to Technically improving the vans capabilities as in heavier trannys and bigger motors even going back to a manual tranny if needed. It's been said necessity is the mother of invention. I am always looking for ways to improve on MY class...

    New Hours of Service Regs

Well, up here in CanLand we're getting a little innovative. If ya seen those vans at Expo 2003 with the Unix bubble. Some owners are taking on 6,000lbs and then some! AND one guy even upgraded his rear end and taking nearly 8 thou! Taking some loads off the 5T's and getting what we have is a 3T...

    New Hours of Service Regs

Tony I absolutely agree with you! We van drivers may get our single skids back. Dispatchers will have to save thier big loads for the right truck just not give a skid away to keep the big guys happy. Smarter dispatchers gee what a novelty! This mess will eventually get straightened out but...

Yes Tony and Groundhawk It IS possible, JuJu and I are in the 6 figure average this year so far and we do that small stuff and the big stuff! The market forces here in Ontario are VERY competitive and the per mile average is lower then one would like to see, but the opportunities to double up...

    BIG TRUCK... little truck?

Poodlenme The ways I sees it..Owners will be a thing of the past cause I think rates have room to drop again ( here in Ontario different marketforces at work )from an independent point of view, I'll end up driving more for less unfortunately! There is little profit margin for owners now after...
