I'm going to be sitting how long?

Being the first 5 years with a Canadian carrier we did a lot of drop and run back to the border...when we came to the U.S. side and a new carrier I was amazed at the difference. Had to learn all over again. My phrase is "drop and stop" It was a hard concept at first...from "drop and run" Now we...

    100K Buyout

fastrod ya might be right....the p/t's and s/retired usually have some sort of pension or other income....as opposed to those who rely solely on expedite income. I thinks the ones that are staying out and living load to load will be done in.

Fuel prices and the writers strike

Exactly night..If the oil companys were to build more refineries that would increase supply and bring down the price...I think they speak the talk but secretly they love the tree huggers...gives them an excuse not to build. To build would be akin to shooting ones self in the foot.

Our logic for taking the standard deduction for our new van: There'd be almost no maintenance as in big repairs for first 2 years at least. Fuel costs at 22 mpgs fuel costs would be alot lower. If ya figure .44.5 cents per mile deduction for over 100,000 miles= 44,500 dollars and put on the...
