Are carriers really making alot of money??? I believe Panther only netted abot 6 million last year for putting up with alot of sorry drivers!

I like Terry am also running airtabs....although I can't quote numbers off hand and jsut run a daily journal they have gotten about 3/4 mpg and the clean rear end and stability. Last night was my best run ever...over 423 miles at 58 mph....27.33 mpg!! Thats slowing down, additive and airtabs...

The guys in load planning are cheap, hard to get a plug nickle out of them...Lot of times if ya don't ask, ya don't get...I think it's the last item on the load offer...they just scratch thru that line if ya don't ask....I have also found that when they do offer up DH bucks it's usually a weird...

Critter...I know for what you speak...now this is where savvy and niceness and even grovelling comes in....be nice and remind load planning that this is the 3rd or 4th 60 to 70 miles DH and is there anything in the pot??? I got 20 bucks for 88 miles the other day by this method. *L*

Your point is taken...but there's alot on this forum that run for the Feds and they are a percentage....Jan. and Feb. were not too bad months for some people. DH and final location are the details that close the deal.

ATeam..You are so correct...a properly adminstered FSC program is crucial for to-days economic conditions.....fuel prices aren't the problem just for us...They effect everyone...the higher the transportation cost, the higher every day living commodities rise....loaf of bread, a dozen eggs...

I can't see why some have thier short hairs in knot. Most of this issue doesn't even apply to us expeditors...most of us have the FSC to cover any increase in fuel...this is an OTR problem for those O/O's. Like chester said...if your truck is fuel efficient and ya slow down abit and keep...
