Depends on how much that small fleet owner has in his pocket. If its not a lot, he usually buys a 2006 Sprinter and hits the road for a year or two then adds another truck. :) :)

Correct me if I'm wrong. The set up I have is 60% to driver (driver pays fuel) 40% to owner. Driver gets 60% of settlement (check) plus 100% of the dead head and empty move. Anything that comes in such as a bonus, layer over, Canadian border cross is added to the check and split 60 to driver...

Especially with a Cargo Van/Sprinter. We strive to do 1500 miles a week. If its 1200 one week and 1800 the next it all averages itself out in the end. If we were to lower our expectations the driver couldn't make it.

The only good american made trucks are Peterbilt and Kenworth, Freightliner, Western Star, Etc.... too bad they don't make a van.

As long as Sprinter is still selling a higher number of units then they can hang. At the end of the day that is what matters. Once production comes to NA they should be able to sustain and compete better.
