Driving home yesterday on I75 south of Atlanta yesterday saw something I have not seen before. I was in the backup from an accident and as usual there was an ambulance and fire truck driving up the left berm trying to get up to where the accident is. Well the fire truck was buzzing along and all...

    Load Problems

I read what you said wrong the first time, yes there are loads under 650, but timing is the key, I have no problem with those 200 mile loads that pay a flat $400 or so, but because of HOS that pretty much means you won't get another load that day unless the sun moon and stars all line up. But...

    Load Problems

No what I'm saying is that they want a team to run it, why add hours added to the transit time needed to keep in compliance with HOS rules for a solo when you just say you want a team to run it.

    Load Problems

I usually have one good week and then 2 or 3 bad weeks. I have a place that I can work full time for $15 an hour, and it's getting real close to me parking the truck and working there. I think that the reason we solo drivers sit so much is because the rate per mile for a solo and team used to...

Anyone know the name of these companies running penske cube vans?

Have you ever seen what happens when uhaul is done with their vehicles???? Too old and ragged out to use for expediting. Penske only runs them for a few years and then sells them.

Big Truck I work on Hino trucks. I'll answer any questions I know the answers to.

True, I don't think I'm going to install them right away after I get them, unless the truck starts acting up again.

Big Truck I work on Hino trucks. I'll answer any questions I know the answers to.

Ok well the other day my truck was acting up bad, so I figured I would just go ahead and replace the scv, what a difference runs a smooth as it ever did, no more surging idles perfect. So my advice for anyone who runs a hino, whenever you start feeling the engine surge, just replace it, before...

At the flying j in Columbia sc waiting for a part for my truck, has been acting up lately but this morning it was really bad, hoping that a new suction control valve will cure my issues. Not a fun feeling when you hit the gas to go and it just putts for a few seconds then takes off.

I can tell you why rates are so low. Its not fuel.

Here is my scenario as to why rates are dropping.... Morning meeting at the big brokers and the topic comes up, how can we make more money? Well they can't raise their rates to their customers so the only other way is to get the loads covered for less. So someone says here is how we are going...
