    Cargo Van next step

No, splitting that meagre amount between two drivers would end your business faster. I'd love a driver. Can't afford it (I respectfully disagree with danthewolf00)

    I want a Job, but Need Help/Advice

If the op would have come back at some point this thread wouldn't have gone so far off the rails :hijacked:

    I want a Job, but Need Help/Advice

Mostly us vanners can't wrap our heads around the costs involved of the larger trucks. Somebody else's fine, but it scares the crap outta me to own

Deleting the rate per mile I posted. (Noobs, too many vans, bad money :D) P.s. buy a straight truck

Ah ok. I don't live in Death Valley either and mentally converted 10w60 to 15w40 rotella (1 million trouble free miles in my 7.3) as for 5 k oil changes, with dep/dpf and short trips of an average driver, he might be on to something. Most don't hop on the highway for hundreds of miles like we...

Yes, and yes Besides which, your tune retains all of the programmability of the factory tune. With certain emissions entries edited out Colorado and California have mobile emmissions testing, California being more sinister with their units being parked alongside the silly "fruit inspections"...

Honestly, with real world experience - if you reinstall the engine and plug everything in correctly, it will work. The factory way of doing things would be to relearn those components which changed. If they are swapping everything from the old engine, nothing will change to the computer. The...

I checked for you. The favorite sprinter tune from Green Diesel Engineering seems to be discontinued. That also came with a backup of your factory tune with the new tune, which you applied yourself. Malone, if you need it after. (But I'd agree, engine replacement should have nothing to do with...

    Locations & Banter , January 2019

So along with experimenting with online loans, I've been going over all the permits, rules and regulations necessary to become a Canada / US carrier. Dare I say I'm beginning to feel sympathetic towards our suits in the office :p

Cargo Van G3 Transfer Corp. New Driver

If the shippers got their act together and / or planned ahead, there'd be no more $1 a mile for a cargo van. Already we lost our most frequent customer to them buying their own 5 ton. Shipping all freight once per day instead of several van loads

The only issue I can see, is them not wanting to warranty the work due to an unknown tune. (Unless they're so by the book they try and say they can't release the "modified" van by state law) Of course if you don't tell them, maybe they'll assume all is good, and leave it alone?

(To flyingvan post) specifcally how deleting the dpf def swirl valves and egr don't translate into being able to use an old style diesel oil, or even epa exempt motorcycle oil. Here in Canada they even import oil from markets that don't have DPF/DEF but its pricey. Epa wouldn't approve of...

Cargo Van G3 Transfer Corp. New Driver

No, I'm "leased" to a carrier (big one in Canada) so the jobs pay well, mostly their direct clients. I'm investigating other boards. But, I've been investigating since 2016...as soon as I find something useful, this forum will be the first to know Edit: I was a courier briefly in my local area...

People, it's not THAT great. Keep in mind the loads are what nobody else thought would be worth taking Until there's an alternative, sleeping until my carrier calls with a higher rate than I could get myself isn't bad.

I've heard that many times. I'm not going to knock it. I'm on the fence as far as the future goes...buy a newer van, or a 5 ton? My last del a couple of days ago I got :noentrysign: , and in winter, average 22 mpg. Never having driven a straight - are you guys getting $3 a mile at 11 mpg...
