My man Bill gets journalists pardoned

Uhm, that's because the discussion is about Bill Clinton, not about the various and sundry liars that have ever held office. All politicians lie, that's indisputable, but we're only talking about "My man Bill" here. To bring up someone other than Clinton is to go off topic in an attempt at...

My man Bill gets journalists pardoned

LRE, those here who are tacking everything to morals are off the mark. But that's largely true of anything when people try to apply their own morals to someone else. Morals do count, but it's more the morals of society than it is some specific religious morality. Despite what some believe, the...

    August Location

Delivered in Rochester Hills, MI Wednesday morning, then slept the rest of the day. I have to go home for a Friday morning doctor's appointment, so I'm looking for something headed in that direction. They offered me a load to Laredo, certainly in the right direction, but they really didn't want...

Cash for Clunkers.. hurts the little guy..

I was at home last week and me and my stepdad were discussing that very thing. We were both wondering where the scam was gonna happen, 'cause you know it will. We finally just went over to the Ford dealer in town, the owner of which is a lifelong friend of my stepdad's. That's how we got to see...

Cash for Clunkers.. hurts the little guy..

Yeah, that's how the program works, paperwork showing car for car. When I was home last week I got to see up close and personal how it all works. But that's not where the scams are gonna happen, on the dealer lots. The scams are gonna happen when large numbers of Clunkers don't end up getting...

This'll get that song right out of your head. :D And it's my philosophy. Don't Worry, Just Click Me And if that don't make your head all clear, I'm gonna buy you a big ol' beer. And this will clear the all of the above out of your head. Just when you thought it was safe to go to a concert...

Cash for Clunkers.. hurts the little guy..

As of July 31, 40,000 Clunkers had been processed for new car trade-ins, with an additional 200,000 transactions backlogged and yet to be completed. That's 240,000 Clunkers, times an average of $4000 per car, which comes to $960,000,000, which is 10,000 cars short of $1 Billion. Quite likely...

    Everyone who argues is BANNED!!

I got 'em from Cheri in Olive Branch. Mrs Nappy had some, too. You can reach for the stars, but you can never grab one. You first must go half way, and then half way again, and then half way again. All these half ways and you'll never get there.

One of many "Internet Truths." Sorry, but this is just one of those things I can't let go by.... The Mustang Ranch was forfeited to the US government in 1999 after losing a tax fraud case that also involved racketeering and conspiracy. The Ranch was closed the same day, and has never reopened...

Bottom line is, Doug was looking to get banned. He is not stupid and he didn't have a blond moment. He knew precisely what he needed to do in oder to get banned, and he did it.

    Virtual Terminals

They are. But with these new, uber-huge ≈11,310 square mile boards (pi r²), we see a lot more First Outs than we used to, so it might seem they are given out like candy. Dispatch still goes out 50 miles from the shipper, so board position doesn't much matter, anyway. Not with these boards.

    A discussion from a new EO member….

It's not a shell game at all. The paying customer could care less about your deadhead, and is only paying the line haul, i.e., the loaded miles to get the freight from A to B. When the carrier books the load, it is booked based on that line haul without respect to your own personal deadhead...

Merely an observation, actually, and in very general terms. If someone views it as an insult, then clearly they have a reason to do so. Nothing veiled about it. Not really, but I did sleep in a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Another Voice Of Reason Is Silenced

Sadly, the intellectual jumping-jakcs, mental sit-ups, and integrity stand-ups have proved to be a worthless exercise. More is the pity since the Internet is an unreal place where you can make up names and pretend to be anything you want. You can even pretend to be not stoopid. Alas, some are...

    Don't go to cars.gov????

No problem. I'm a little surprised that this type of classic "Internet knee jerk" reaction made it's way onto Glen Beck's show. They might not be familiar with the difference between a Web server open to the public and a non-public database server inside a LAN, which is what this is. It's kind...
