AC, CableTV, Xbox: What is Poverty in the U.S. Today?

NO laws need to be passed. You buy what you can afford with YOUR money that YOU earn. IF you (not you in particular, generic you) are on welfare, you don't get cookies. Those are NOT needed for life. those are LUXURIES! Clothing is EASY to get for cheap. Go to the Goodwill. We have, many...

Is wanting to keep what I earn GREED? I don't think so. Why is it that SO many think that they are entitled to MY wages?

GOOD ONE! Nothing wrong with earning an honest living. There is also NOTHING wrong with wanting to keep the fruits of my hard labor. As it is I put almost $.40 out of every dollar I earn into taxes. That is just SO WRONG! Then, when you look at that idea that almost 40% of the people in this...

If forced to park this truck I WILL make it. I always have. I have been as broke as you can get, more than once. I may be again someday, AND, I WILL bounce back as I always do. I may start ANOTHER business again. Just tried to buy one in September. It was already sold. I am ONLY 60, young...

AC, CableTV, Xbox: What is Poverty in the U.S. Today?

I think you are totally missing the point. The basics today are EXACTLY what they were in 1850 and 1970. Proper food, clean water, proper clothing and a roof over your head. Cookies are NOT needed for life. IF you can afford them, fine. Can't afford them? Grand ma can buy the gifts if she...

Our truck made well over 171,000 last year. Even after expenses we live quite well. Fat and happy. The ONLY fly in the pie is the oppressive taxes that inhibit our ability to truly get ahead. There is NO SUCH THING as "fair and equal" Wait for that and you will always be broke. It is the...

AC, CableTV, Xbox: What is Poverty in the U.S. Today?

Birthday and Christmas presents are NOT needed for life. They are, in fact, a luxury. One should always provide for the needed things in life first. One can die of starvation. NO ONE has ever died from not getting a birthday present. One should NOT be allowed to purchase luxury items with...

The current where the freighter is running is normally between 5-7 miles per hour. Get a wind out of the wrong direction and that water "blows up" FAST! That is a wonderful area where that picture was taken.

Thinking of selling my house for an RV

It is a matter of personal taste, choice and life styles. I know that there a less expensive parks around the country. NO park, any where else in the country, has the fantastic walleye fishing AND layout hunting in it's back yard. Therefore, for MY needs, no other would work. I work to pay...

Thinking of selling my house for an RV

I guess it all depends on where you wish to park it. The RV park closet to where I live charges $715, PER MONTH! My house payment, everything included is under $1000. I would still have to pay for the camper, the utilities AND several storage sheds. It is all a matter of needs and lifestyles...

Yep, and 171,008 is FAR better than welfare. Then again, after taxes, the REAL KILLER of personal wealth, who knows? I do know one thing for a fact. If you settle for a minimum wage job, you get what you ask for. Government/union interference is nothing new. Just ask Preston Tucker. It was...

The ideas are all simple. The ability to put those ideas into action is hard. It MAY come to the spilling of blood, I have said that all along. That does NOT mean that I don't want to at least TRY to do it at the ballot box. Blood in the streets is the LAST resort. It may by the ONLY one. I...

I am by no means saying that things are NOT out of wack, they are. I am more than aware of the mess we are in. I understand how unneeded regulation is hurting everyone. I know how corrupt the banking/government "system" is. All I am saying is, to a large degree, MOST people are in the mess...
