It's a browser hijack. It might be entries in the Host file that's redirecting IP addresses. Edit out the bad resolutions in the Host file using Notepad. The Hosts file is located in /Windows/System32/Drivers/etc First thing to do, however, is to go to Tools / Internet Options / Delete...

Ironically, it's the government's USDA Food Pyramid that they sold to the public decades ago that you can trace the obesity problem, and diabetes to. The Food Pyramid is bottom heavy on things the Department of Agriculture deals with, and it's the same stuff that makes cows fat.

That's an excellent article. Well written, and highly educational.

    Strong sulpher odor

It's almost certainly one or more bad batteries that have gone south and have started swelling up. They'll short internally. Voltage is probably way high one the bad ones. When that happens it vents hydrogen that smells like rotten eggs.

US Supreme Court upholds key Arizona immigration clause

No, you didn't address Witness, you addressed everybody, publicly, about Witness. When you speak in public about someone, it really doesn't matter who you are directly addressing, as you're addressing everybody, anyway. Sure we can, to each other. Like, in a PM. But when you take it publicly...

June Locations and all the Banter who can post!

I feel for ya, EB. I was in Wichita over the weekend. Hit 100° on Saturday and kept climbing. Abundant sunshine, which is code for not a cloud anywhere. Was 106° on Monday when I got out of there. Considered deadheading to Laredo to get some relief.

"It's one of the most bigotted posts witness has ever posted here." It doesn't get any more personal than that. You responded to who posted it rather than what was posted. That was your mistake. Well, the first one. The second was believing you didn't respond in any way that was "personal'...

I read EO, I talk to people, I'm observant. You don't have to have been alive during that era to want things to be the way it was at that time. Things were more innocent, we had prayer in schools, political correctness hadn't been invented, you could let your kids walk to school without fear of...

I concur. Sounds a lot like America in the 1950s. Correct, in the 1960s, which came right after the 1950s. Realism rulez.

Which is why the "Racial Profiling" card played by Latinos is an epic fail. I'm sure there are plenty of people who have problems with Mexicans and other Latinos, but the vast majority have a problem with the illegal ones, not the legal ones.

Facebook's email switch prompts criticism by users

It's arrogance run amok. Zuckerberg feels that "Internet Privacy" is an oxymoron. It's just one of the many reasons I don't use Facebook.

It's also easier to simply and quickly label something as race-baiting and bigoted instead of dealing with the issues directly. It's more convenient. Doing so also completely ignores the reality of human nature. There are plenty of white people today who long to take things back to the 1950s...

    Eating at Denny's

It doesn't matter whether it's literal or euphemistic, it's still offensive. Deeply. People in the public eye who say such things end up having to apologize on TV, take sensitivity training classes held at the local college football shower room (bring your own soap, I mean it, bring your...

I don't think it's race-baiting or bigoted. I think it's an honest opinion of the facts, or at least his perception of them. I just wish he hadn't played quite so Fast and Furious with the phrases "may" and "or may not". In any case, I think he's spot-on about the white man in power being...

Exactly. The author could have just as easily compared the number of Chicago deaths to the number of road-kill Canadian Snow Geese. Would have had the same effect.
