Not sure specifically who is reputable for stretches in MI. 40 feet is your maximum length. Price is somewhere between 4,000 and 8,000. I wouldn't recommend this, unless you know exactly how it is going to come out. There are numerous issues involved in doing a stretch. Better off to do one...

It might pay to check out the archives as there are numerous posts relating to liftgates. Some love them, and some don't. I think it depends on the carrier and how they are used. Personally, I think they make a nice porch on the back of the truck, and that is about it. Just too many safety...

Generally, expedite would be higher, but not always. Competition, location it is going, and from where determine the rate. The differences on a expedite verses a LTL can be alittle or alot. Davekc owner 22 years PantherII EO moderator

I don't think whether your on percentage or milage has anything to do with whether you are running you business profitably. If you know what your cost per all miles needs to be, I don't think either matters. Only difference is one requires verification of what the customer actually paid...

Adding another load is fine, as long as it is added as an addtional seperate load. Milage works just fine in these cases. If I am getting full rate on both, everyone wins. I should add that, I think the percentage deals work better, but only when doing the shorter runs. Davekc owner...

Right on. The NET amount is what is of interest. And, that amount sustained over a period of time. Gross amounts mean very little unless you know what was spent to get to that number. I personally prefer milage pay. Percentage pay leaves the door open to alot of game playing. Several articles...
