    What is Cheap Freight, Really?

We have hauled them as a brokered load for the Fed, but not at that rate. They were a 1.70 per mile with everything.

    60/40 revisited?

here ya go. i was getting 60 after the owners 40 off the gross. well what was left and the fsc barely covered fuel for a 1200 mile load i had. he then shorted me on money i spent on maintenance Must have been running for a pretty low FSC. Driver spending money on maintenance would also be a...

    What is Cheap Freight, Really?

If I double dip the NLM loads that are 1.15 and take two for 2.30 plus a .40 cent FSC, am I running cheap? Might depend on which end you are on?

    Drivers Pay

Doing well. Thanks for asking. As for fuel issues, whoever is paying the fuel, should pay for the fuel tax. Too much of a mess to seperate them.

    Drivers Pay

Like the freight rates, it is a supply and demand issue.

    So much for the strike!

When they really want to solve the problem, then full disclosure on all loads will be implemented. No point in complicating the simple, unless of course........there is something to hide. Folks should really know who they are doing business with. The margins on many loads is amazing...

    help with questions regarding panther

For someone new, I would use the faq section as a starter. Primarily to get a feel for the carriers, lifestyle, and some of the terminology. Then of course proceed to the last six months of posts unless it is the Truck Talk section. Too many things at some of the carriers are much different now...

    660 Expiditer

I think they are still around as they advertise here on EO. The truck looks to be a casualty of a deal that went south. Nothing to do with the company.

    660 Expiditer

Looks like a casualty from Expediter Services in MS If not, it looks like one of their fleet trucks.

    660 Expiditer

Everything is relative to price. Not likely a stock build. Looks to be one built that someone changed their mind on. Probably when they seen the final sale price.

    Engine Fan Problem

I would be more inclined to go to a Detroit Deisel dealer. They can also reset some of the parameters on the ECM in addition to checking out the EGR and the thermostats.

    Need Opinions PLZ!!!!!

Dave, I maybe wrong about this, but I don't see the purpose of the information to many of us in this business other than the pleasure of saying you have it. Is there something of a need to have it when you are not independent? __________________ Nope. Nothing I can see unless someone...

    recruiter promises

Leo is correct. Someone was listening with "rose colored ear muffs". I have never heard that promoted by Panther. An extra 30 cents per mile on a DOD load is what I have heard. Almost sounds like someone failed a drug test and made something up. With so many vans industry wide, I can't see...

    Need Opinions PLZ!!!!!

If one is that bent for specific details, look at what the people in the investment world look at. In no particular order. Transportaion stocks Tonnage index Freight ratios....available on many load sites by the day and by the year. Finance auctions on returned equipment New...
