    Gay discrimination

That "holding hands" and "marriage" are even remotely the same thing, that simply by turning away and not looking at something you are disgusted by will make it go away, and that the ability to reproduce is the qualification for marriage. So, pretty much everything you stated.

    Gay discrimination

That's your intelligent argument? Really? That PDA and marriage are intertwined within society as being exactly the same thing? That if you don't like one or the other you can simply change the channel to a different society?

Scientific theory is the most reliable, rigorous, and comprehensive form of scientific knowledge. It appears that you are confusing the terms "scientific theory" and the significantly different commonly used word "theory" (which implies that something is a guess, i.e., unsubstantiated and...

Sabine Parish LA School District Enters Consent Decree

I think if the school was carefully monitored, we'd find the school is unable to fully comply, what with human nature being what it is. The decree completely overturns the way of life there (a Catholic school masquerading as a public school), impacting even casual conversations between teachers...

    Gay discrimination

Well, now we're back to the big question that you have yet to answer. Why NOW? Why, after more than 5500 years, is it so critical that it happen now, right now, in this epoch of human history, in this era of societal development? How is this going to ensure the survival of society? A simple...

    Gay discrimination

When you say, "None. Not even a little bit," that's not entirely accurate. There's actually quite a bit. As the article Pilgrim linked alludes, there is no single, definitive genetic marker for sexual orientation. If you look at the order of things, you'll see there won't be one, either. The...

Actually it is, but I'll let your statement stand on its own, because it's the epitome of those who believe warm and fuzzy intentions always trump unintended consequences. It's a remarkable sentiment.

    Gay discrimination

A link from the Gay Wing of the Huffington Post? Really? That which purports to refute my statement is cherry-picked statistics massaged for a purpose. The stats which show marriage is actually up due to same-sex partnerships, not the marriage of traditional couples. More than 50 percent of...

    Gay discrimination

I'm not so sure. If you come at the issue with a predisposed set of philosophies, then you can make the argument that it's a chosen behavior, but if you come at it grounded in reality, simple observation and experiment, cause and effect, consequences of actions, then it becomes far more a case...

    Gay discrimination

Slave ownership is not a protected class, either, nor should it be. Keeping humans as slaves has nothing whatsoever to do with gay marriage. Nothing. It's not even a valid analogy when it comes to change itself. Your arguments are all emotional arguments, not thought out or reasoned. Religion...

    Gay discrimination

Black, specifically? No. But race was. The very first ever protected class was race, then color, then religion, then national origin, then sex, then age, then pregnancy, then citizenship, then familial status (whether or not you have children), then disability, then veteran, and genetic information.

It doesn't matter whether you can chose or not, or whether you were born that way or not, sexual orientation is not a protected class.

Rand Paul selling out social conservatives. No surprise.

Those from the north, probably. My stepdad is typical. He's nauseatingly liberal, however also a hard core Southern Baptist who is dead set against same-sex marriage. Southern blacks are much like that - liberal, conservative Christians. That's why I was careful not to post that before midnight. ;)

Rand Paul selling out social conservatives. No surprise.

Not really all that valid a premise that "the South" is itself "conservative," as the bolded premise specifies southern conservatives, not The South. They are different things. One is The South, and the other is the conservatives in The South. Believe it or not, there exists creatures who can be...
