    Food Stamps

Hey Ice May want to shop for a better deal. Never heard of a driver running for a owner that pays the repair costs on the truck. Only other exception is if your on a lease purchase of some type? The $1.45 per mile you speak of, is that with the FSC or without it?

    Food Stamps

I.m not at the Fed so it wouldn't be fair for me to post what I think they make or don't. I am only going by what is posted here. Without a doubt some posts are clearly inflated. As like anything, if it was proven and too good, everyone would be there.

That would be assuming the truck is running all 52 weeks. I am paying my drivers too much:D On a serious note, you can't run a tractor on $1.40 to 1.60 per mile as he (IRT) posted in another thread. We don't even run straights at that rate. I thought the Fed paid better than that. Maybe not...

    Panther issues

Your information makes no sense. Why would they reimbuse you for your truck, occupational, drug test, physical, QC fee? Additionally, your QC fee is 35 per week or 140 a month. Could have been 175 IF there were 5 pay periods in that month. Lastly, if your escrow was 20 per week, at 15 weeks...

    Panther is not Military friendly

Geo, That would apply if he is an employee. Since he is a independent contractor, it is a different animal.

    Panther issues

I seen a driver take a window out when they sent him a mini in Detroit. Should have seen the look on the guys wife's face. On a serious note, if a QC vendor worked on the unit, you will have a PO# from Panther for the authorization. If you had repairs completed without one, then you pay...

Greg and Star are correct. That is why I commented on it. The ones that contacted me were be adversely affected by its implementation and weren't getting the answers within the company.

    Understanding the Load Opportunity

I thought I was very factual basing information from already posted information. I clearly stated for the new I wasn't with Fedex and where I didn't know something, it was clearly stated. I didn't say anything bad about Fedex. I do question their new system which is what I was requested on...

Find out who from Panther approved it and your problem is solved. If you don't remember, call the QC place that performed the work. They should have a record if they called for a PO # from Panther.

    Understanding the Load Opportunity

As mentioned, I was requested by several at CC to comment on it. So I did. It is in the general forum and NOT in the Fedex forum. Simple as that.

    Understanding the Load Opportunity

That is true with any company. It would seem strange to send you loads that you can't do whether equipment or qualifications? If would have to be a nightmare if they send trucks loads that they can't carry? What would be the point? Or who would want to be bothered? I wouldn't think that would be...

    Understanding the Load Opportunity

Some are posting they are waiting a hour before they know if they have been rewarded with the load? Not sure of a time saver. But, if board position or ranking and acceptance rating are thrown to the curb, it might have some value.

Hit the wrong button there Colonel. Shouldn't type when I am on the phone with a good show on. Sorry about that. Hit my edit button by accident. But, I know what you mean. Contrary to what Prince Phil may think, I wasn't going to respond to any of this until I was requested to by two fleet...

They are a trickle charge, but so far they have been extremely reliable on a boat and RV. I beleive that some of the sleeper manufacturers are just starting to use them.

    Mercedes 2009 engine ?

I would recommend a little more investigating. I can't remember the source, but several have been plagued with premature component failure due to excessive heat. Additionally, service is going to be very spotty. When we were looking six months ago, few dealers had techs that could work on them...
