If your refering to my post, I believe it was NBC News is where I heard it.

    Con-Way Freight

I heard the same. Another one yesterday is this stupid condom program in the Obama stimulas package. They were originally to be produced in AL. What do they do? Said they were cheaper in China so that is where they are going to produce them. Net result; Trojan in AL is set to layoff 300...

    What Would You Do?

I quess the question becomes, what are they telling you? To be fair, is it really a lost check, or a company that has ran out of funds?

    What Would You Do?

One of the reasons I prefer direct deposit. A situation of a lost check doesn't exist.

    Con-Way Freight

Not sure if it is part of that report, but yesterday they said Fedex was going to go through another round of layoffs and pay cuts in Memphis. Not to be confused with CC. Conway is a big competitor with Fedex on LTL freight.

Managing the EO Open Forum Addiction

I'll take those out. Does sound funny. Person could be real, but they are using the same computer or IP address.

    Getting Experience

I believe the poster is looking to drive tractor trailer. If he goes to a straight truck, that isn't going to help him much. Since he already has his class A, I don't know why he would pay $100 for anything? I would look at the companies mentioned that are hiring to achieve your 6 months...

    New Panther Division

This is pretty much what we do with regard to refusals. We go over whatever is there for the day and then submit it through the owner site. Seems pretty easy and haven't had any problems so far. Since you don't drop to the bottom on a refusal, there isn't any rush to fix them. Next day is good...

    Where's A-Team-anyone seen Phil?

I wouldn't worry too much. Phil has "fired" himself before. As mentioned he does bring on some of this himself. In this case, I think Greg busted him with some of his EO gaming. Probably time to take a break. I think he eventually realized that. Not sure on the value of a departure...

    Freightliner/ Volvo

That speaks volumes. I can't tell you how many times we have had to go back and redo repairs on the Freightliners. They also eat a a/c unit about once a year as well. Cheap condensors, followed by the compressor, followed by a dryer, and the list goes on. Finally once out of warranty, we had a...

    what to do?????????????

Hard to tell if they are driving or not, but they are currently running a classified ad. I am quessing this is the same team. Team Available : DEDICATED TEAM NEEDS DEDICATED OWNERS The way the ad reads it looks like they have too many personal agendas or "I don't wanna's" listed in their...

    Financing An Expedite Truck??

Because it is a lease in which the finance company owns the vehicle therefore they take the depreciation. Link from GE Capital for detailed information http://www.gecapitalenergy.com/quesa.html#six

    Freightliner/ Volvo

As mentioned, I would look to see if you have some options within the Select Trucks plan. If you had to sit a week waiting on a part, or a week for service, 3k suddenly doesn't mean much. Just my penny in the pond.

    Financing An Expedite Truck??

I could go into the lengthy stuff, but basically a TRAC Lease is a tax lease where the finance company retains the depreciation of the collateral and the customer expenses the monthly payments. Here is a link from GE Capital with regards to taxes and such...
