Run for yer lives...abandon ship...Fedex drivers scream

I have to agree. Those are good numbers for a dry van.

    How's it Going at Landstar?

Landstar requires six months experience and some companies require a year to two years. And some require none for certain vehicles. I don't see where their requirements are way above the others? Maybe I am missing something? We know several folks at Landstar and they didn't have to go through...

    How's it Going at Landstar?

I'm delighted Phil with your posts. It is great to see someone engage in the excitement and opportunities that we found when you see how others operate outside of just waiting on the beep. I also think some of your former comrads are also starting to realize just how much different things can be.

Carrier Appearal Question; Removing Old Logos

Now if we could get most to go along with that, it would be good for the whole industry. Still seeing quite a few rough ones out there at times.

    Vice or Virtue

That would be the correct answer. Have to always look at the big picture even when dealing with some of the new "high school dispatchers".

Carrier Appearal Question; Removing Old Logos

Since we have done both, I think it may benefit in some applications, and others it doesn't. I also agree there are some that are implying that if you don't have a uniform, then you must be wearing sandals, sweats, and a shirt with yesterdays dinner on it. I think presentable and...

    Speedco money card

Why are you selling it? Also, some of their cards are tied to the truck's VIN number. Not sure if what you have is that?

DRIVER Addendum to Owner provided contract

The ideas are good but the language would have to be altered in places. Language with regards to independent contractors and employees can't be blurred. There really can't be a generic contract as different states require different things. For example, the state of NJ requires very specific...

Carrier Appearal Question; Removing Old Logos

I think a vacation is the best thing Phil. I don't see anything in jdevidts post that is condescending. He simply has a different opinion and experiences than you. So what? Like a couple of others, "stop trying so hard to be offended". Quote stolen from JJ.

    Expediter Services leaving E-1

Just based on this thread I think some of the confusion comes from some drivers making 35 percent and some making 40 percent. Maybe that is a carrier issue? No idea. One can give some extra benefits including personalized wake-up calls if the fleet owner is keeping a additional 5 percent...

    FedEx expedite going down ?

I think they all are recruiting with no number in sight except for maybe vans. The reality is most carriers will take on as many as they can and hope for the best. There is no planning with straights and tractors. Keep in mind that they are a revenue source whether they are moving or not...
