    Why are people so negative

I wasn't hand-fed at Express-1, just ran good... but I was solo there. When I moved to Panther as a team, we ran hard until my co-driver quit on me 9 days later. But I've heard many newbie stories of HUGE loads on their first 8 or 9 days out. Check the archives, they're there. BigDiesel...

    Maximum GVWR

"For commercial vehicles, 10,001 pounds is a significant threshold. Any vehicle that operates in interstate commerce (crossing state lines, furthering interstate commerce) and weighs 10,001 pounds or more must comply with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs). These safety...

    Why are people so negative

Ummm... that's what the so-called naysayers were telling him. Geez! But we also told him to lose the smug attitude of "Haha! We're doing better than you!", cause he'll feel stupid when reality hits home like it does with ALL expediters. Apparently, you haven't learned this lesson, Ateam. If...

Leo... did you ever tell us who you've decided to run with?

    Why are people so negative

I did enjoy Panther alot. You know how it goes tho... getting snagged somewhere like Nashville and getting riddled with minis. The whole time driving team for them (4 months), we were offered only a handfull of runs over 800 mi, one of which we turned down for dh and fsc. We didn't sit too much...

    Used dolly legs

Thanx Dave... I thought of AB, but they wanted $725 for an upper bunk, which is rediculous. Perhaps they have used ones, or might know where I can get them, though.

    Used dolly legs

Time has come to get some legs put on the ol' beater. About half the hi-lo drivers worry when going into my truck, even though it has tandems in back. Well... it does drop a bit when they use the heavy forklifts :7 Where can I find some used dollies around Detroit? I know a trailer repair...

    Why are people so negative

Well, bigguy, if I were averaging 800-1300 mi runs with only a couple hours in between loads, I would've never gone independant. My acceptance rating would've stayed about the same... because I would've been too tired to keep going at that pace, not cause I got a ton of mini offers. The bonus...

    $2.50 to $3.00

I believe it. Those are also concidered minis tho. I try to get $200-$250 for runs under 100 mi. I don't have much luck around Detroit, cause most of these dweebs competing got less than that... which isn't worth the time or chance to get a big run.

    has a question

You need to tell the o/o about his shifting and getting lost. He's going to cost him another transmission. This driver obviously needs alot more practice shifting, and plotting his route before the truck moves. Not getting sleep is one thing, but this guy sounds dangerous. My nephew got in the...

Where are some of the old Posters

You're right Louixo... but I'd think they'd be pleased at what's become of EO. For the most part, the members have policed themselves with little intervention from the powers that be. The controversy is still there, but it's contained, for the most part. I think one poster, in particular...

    Expediting in the West

Hey Flame... how've you been? Haven't seen ya hangin around for awhile. To answer your question, I've seen a good share of expedite freight running between CA and TX. Alot goes to AZ, but not much out of there. Also have seen some going from WA to AZ or NM, more to CA. And, a bit of traffic...

    B-load Blues...

I don't think anyone has a beef with supplimenting a retirement. The beef is getting into a van to make some poker money.

    UShip

Some members have expressed concern with this company and the kind of freight they have. I noticed the banner for them that says "Be your own dispatcher" and "No risk" and "No commitment". Well, once freight is on my truck there's commitment. What happens when no one's there when you arrive? I'd...

    B-load Blues...

Maybe I wasn't clear in my statement. The frustration comes from tiredofsitting and others. The statements about retirees, including the dock worker at Ford wanting fishing money came from another source. I also heard the same comment from a dockworker about getting into expediting when he...
