If you were to shift from drive to reverse, is the clunk more, less, or the same as when you shift from neutral to reverse? Traditionally, clunking like this is attributed to driveshaft wind-up. Things that make it worse include worn out u-joints or hanger bearings, broken motor mounts, or...

You aren't resetting the code. There's an active fault in the burner. Most diagnostic equipment will not connect to it. You need an actual diagnosis by someone who knows what they're doing. If you can tow it about 250 miles south I can fix it. By running it for a year with active faults, this...

Isuzu NQR vs Mitsubishi Canter vs Hino

I'm pretty sure they are. And you're right, they're pretty darn good. The only COEs I've seen with regen or driveability problems also have a fuel tank full of gasoline.

It could be like 10 different things. About all you can do is see if the electrical vacuum pump is working (by putting 12v on it). Sent from my XT1585 using EO Forums mobile app

Isuzu NQR vs Mitsubishi Canter vs Hino

They're all going to be pretty good. Which local dealer is the best to deal with? That's often more important than the emblem on the front. Sent from my XT1585 using EO Forums mobile app

    2014 hino 258

Well, if you accidentally put something other than DEF in the tank, turn the key on, drain the tank, and put at least two gallons in it. If not, the DEF quality sensor probably took a dump. It'll soon go into a pretty serious limp mode. At this point a dealer is likely the best place to...

It's the brake light switch, most likely. Adjust it until the plunger is completely pressed in with the pedal released. Don't break the lock.

    2009 Hino 268 Frequent Regen

This 'DPR graph jumping' has a few distinct causes. Often, the temp sensors on the inlet and outlet of the DPF are at fault. These sensors ought to be replaced every 200-250k or so. Just about as often is the wiring harness to the sensor within an inch or two of the connector. There's...

    2012 Hino 268 P2047, 204F

Under diagnosis, engine ECU, activation test menu, activate "reset urea SCR history" for several seconds, stop activation, then clear codes. If it's still active, check dcu for faults again.

    2012 Hino 268 P2047, 204F

It's odd that P2047 disappeared. Sometimes you'll see a P204F in the ECU and nothing in the DCU. This is generally caused by low voltage, generally poor battery connections or a dying battery. Aside from that, it looks like you're figuring it out. Yes, navigation is strange.

Nope. No one makes one, that I'm aware of. Now, if you want to keep it running with all of that stuff on there, I'm your guy. If you're not prepared to spend some money, I'd sell it and buy one built before 2008.

    2012 Hino 268 P2047, 204F

A very basic explanation: All trucks with DPFs need a method to heat the DPF high enough to oxidize the soot trapped inside. On 11-14 model year Hino 238, 258, 268 and 338, they do this with a burner. It's not unlike a reddi-heater. There's the atomizer which mixes fuel and air and injects...
