I pay $0.40 per mile but I expect professional drivers out at least 80% of the time and follow instructions from dispatch to the letter while making sure the truck is maintained properly, among other things. If you want top pay, you'd better be a top performer!

Our 3500 159" extended has just been built. We hope it's here by February. We expect 18 MPG on average with the gas engine.

Having a truck with 4,000 lb capacity & now with an 18' long box, we carried MANY over 3,000 lb loads and never even one over 12' long. The extended Promaster carries far more weight than the $printer, is taller inside, has shorter overall height, and better fuel economy... The $printer @ 19 MPG...

The Promaster cab is just over 80" wide so allowing 2" of insulation and a 3/16" plywood interior face will give about 75-5/8" wide clear inside... enough room to tuck your sheets in.

That's why I build a longer box and put it on chassis/cabs. Manufacturers just don't consider the North American expeditor market when they size their big vans. The Promaster box will be built wide enough to fit a standard mattress side to side as well. Expeditors need (and deserve) the best...
