Drivers want to go to 18% from 20%

What I think is: if you are an owner who encourages drivers to approach you with what they feel may be a better way to do something, and you give it a fair hearing, then you're an owner who will keep the good drivers, and be successful - good job!:)

Things I have seen on the road (sort of)

    >Aww c'mon Greg, don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel >about all this stuff.:7 :7 This is just the kind of pointless, inane remark that discourages people from posting. I enjoy Greg's observations, and I'm sure others do, too. If you don't, how about if you just skip over them...

    Home For The Holidays?

I am home now, having had the water pump & brakes done on my van, but would take off in a heartbeat for a good load! Last year, I needed to be home for Christmas, it was my first ever living alone in an apt, & my family all gathered round to make me feel loved - but this year, I think I can...

    qualified?

ghl, welcome! The answer to your question is: yes, you would be qualified to drive. But there are a lot of other questions, too, especially whether you would be happy doing this kind of work, because it isn't a 9 to 5, Monday through Friday kind of job. If you haven't been reading the fora here...

18 Wheelers just don't like me

Easytrader, if you ever set foot inside a Swift terminal, you'd see lots of wrecked trucks, mosly in the back of the lot, but the more spectacular wrecks are memorialized in huge blown up photos, inside the building - as a reminder to drive safe. (And none of those wrecks were my truck, either)...

Canada US to Require Passports for Nearly All

I think the cutting edge technology these days is retinal scans - the iris of your eye is as identifiable as your fingerprints, without having to use the messy black ink, or your footprints, without having to take off socks & shoes - something I'd rather many people not have to do in public.;)

    Nice IRA 2?

This time of year, making snowflakes from old tortillas would be a nice way to pass some dead time, too:) Or, use colored markers to make some truly unique Christmas cards!:P

    Are These The Bad Times?

ATeam: "good" & "bad" are SUBJECTIVE - they cannot be proven by OBJECTIVE & VERIFIABLE means, even by the wisest among us.

Watch out for Wendys at Pilot Lodi Ohio

Y'all know that Taco Bell is responsible for another nasty E coli outbreak, traced to the scallions (green onions) recently? Funny how this life changes your outlook: I used to hate cooking most of the time, as it came at the end of the workday, when I didn't want to do it - now, I'm making...

Watch out for Wendys at Pilot Lodi Ohio

One day last week, I stopped at McDonald's to get a bag of ice, and while waiting for it, I noticed that the workers assembling the food weren't wearing gloves - glad I don't get food there! (I'm pretty sure they don't scoop ice with bare hands). Aren't food handlers required to wear gloves...

Watch out for Wendys at Pilot Lodi Ohio

Hobo, you may be right, it was the food you ate that made you sick, but it could just as easily have been a virus - something airborne, when someone sneezed near you, or even lurking on a door handle. Viruses can survive for quite awhile on surfaces, which is why it's wise to wash your hands...

Which company actually cares about good drivers?
