    Getting perscription on the road

I would find out whether the prescription can be mail ordered, on a 90 day basis. It's often easier and less expensive to mail order medications, assuming they are not unusual ones.

    baby oil...

Terry: I'd rather not know that! Between showers, I keep a little jar of Burt's Beeswax in a basket on the dash, where the sun warms it to almost liquid, and I rub it on arms & legs every day. I don't know if it keeps me warmer, but it sure smells good - when I don't grab the little cup of...

    Ticket for in cab control

Highway Star is correct, the weight doesn't matter, only what's legal. I was ticketed in Tennessee once, for running on the interstate, with rear axle on an empty 53 ft trailer slid all the way back. I hadn't known it was against the law, but that doesn't matter either. If it's not legal, you...

How do you feel about back to back runs?

I have, and will always turn down loads offered in the evening, that have to go straight through, if I don't feel I can do it safely. The money sounds tempting, but the 4 am "I gotta SLEEP!" feeling isn't worth it. I try to take a nap every day, just in case, but some days it just doesn't...

    What's Up With This???

Maybe. But unforeseen delays happen, and then what? This time of year especially, if you count on running that fast, you're gonna run into trouble, I think. Snow, ice, accidents, detours, the possibilities are many.

    What's Up With This???

What I figure, is there ought to be rules that are fair, clear, and followed all the time, except in emergencies. Dispatchers and drivers need to be 'on the same page' to avoid misunderstandings. Van drivers fall into a gray area, with some loads of 700 plus miles requiring a switch, some...

    Little Light Thingie

Prof, if you'd prefer a painless way to remind yourself, dab a bit of Wite-out on the top of your steering wheel - it'll get your attention. If you still aren't in the habit when you no longer notice the white spot, wipe it off & put another one off to one side. I used this method to retrain my...
