My favorite tip: "Try to find long entrance ramps" for ease in merging - how, I wonder, are they sposed to do that? Maybe make a practice run of the whole route, Wisconsin to Fla, first, in the car? The same problem occurs for boaters - anyone can buy or rent a boat, or 'personal watercraft'...

The oddest freight so far, was a nosecone for an aircraft - it looked a lot like an igloo, actually - but the best part was when I pulled up to the gate at delivery, and read the sign: "Taxiing aircraft have the right of way" Well, DUH! Who's gonna argue with them? :P

I miss him, too! His posts were always interesting, and often pretty funny, too - the one about listening to sound files of old Detriot diesels still cracks me up. ;) I am reminded of him every time I pass the truckstop in Texas with the sign that says "Diesel fried chicken" :9 Yum!
