    Try Hours

Click on the "search" tab, (in the row of red tabs across the top of the screen), type in "Try Hours", and that should do it. If you want to speed it up, choose the forums most likely to contain the info: General, Newbies, and Ask the Recruiter, cause you probly won't get much from Truck Talk...

    Try Hours

Skidrock: welcome to EO, first thing.:) Second thing: did you check the archives, or do a search? Because that's the fastest way to get the answer to a question like yours. If you wait for someone with the knowledge to post it, you could be cooling your jets for quite awhile, you know, while...

    Thanks Congress...

Ratwell: I think you're absolutely correct - you're just wasting a lot of time, trying to persuade the "sad little sheep thinkers" and you should focus your efforts somewhere else, because you aren't much appreciated here. Best of luck, wherever you go, though.

    securing cargo and equiptment needed

I heard a very similar KERPOW! just yesterday, while getting loaded in Greenville, SC. It wasn't a tire, (I'd put the landing gear down), and it wasn't an airbag, (I'd emptied them before loading) - it was the rear wheels of the pallet jack, going through the floor, sigh. I can't imagine what...

    Terry and The Beast

I bet that's what's left of the last guy who implied that all van drivers are as dumb as bricks....;)

requirements to join up with Panther

Late4dinner: you got hot because you didn't realize that Turtle was referring to the perception of many folks regarding van drivers, (because of the ease of entry into the field, and the turnover rate, which is surely much higher than with other units). The perception is accurate in some cases...

    super singles

Having followed TeamCaffee for 25 miles a few years ago, (from the Roberts Center in Wilmington to King's Island), I can assure you - they really do drive that slow. It drove the two teens with me nuts, lol, but it is the smart way to drive, and my hat's off to the smart ones. :D

requirements to join up with Panther

Morningstar: you wonder why some of us would rather not haul hazmat? I have a Class A with hazmat, but would rather not haul it, because both the regulations and the risks are greater, but the pay is the same. Why assume the increased duties and risks, for free? Late4dinner: I wonder if you can...

    Oops!

Greg, one of the primary effects of alcohol ingestion is a loosening of restraint - one may say & do things that they wouldn't normally be easy. (Singing karaoke is just one example) I don't think the OP was offering excuses, just an explanation. And yes, it seems to have served as a wake up...

    Oops!

Marc: I hope you don't take Greg's words to heart, because some of us do understand what the Col is saying, and agree. I sent you an email, hope it helps.

    Hazmat Certification

The hazprints site lists locations to get fingerprinted, but not the phone numbers - some have goofy hours, (closed at lunchtime), and some are not in a truck friendly location. I'd try to get a phone number, before actually going, especially if you'll be going in a truck.

    Cargo Van Tips

Thank you all for elaborating: "increased mpgs" just isn't enough information to be persuasive, so I had to ask. Another question: by how much would mpgs decline, if a traditional bugcatcher is used? Does anyone have any idea?

    is it me?

Really - who needs the old folks, or the sick, or the feeble, or the disabled? We'd be so much better off, if we didn't have to care for, or about, those who can't care for themselves, right? (Even just temporarily) To' cite ' Louis Armstrong: "What a wonderful world..." You can start...

    Don't Leave Home Without It

Yes, Joe, I pretty generally let the piece of equipment do it for me, cause it pretty generally chooses the shorter of two (or more) possible routes - something that I can't do as well, just by eyeballing it. That said, I also rely on the Motor Carriers Atlas, and wouldn't ever go anywhere...

    Cargo Van Tips

Does this bug screen not add surface drag? A better decision could be made if one knew the cost of the products, and the increase in mpgs that you attribute to their performance. In other words, spending dollars to save cents, doesn't make sense., but if the products actually pay for...
