mhoy40, I can tell you first hand that they're the real deal. I just got back with them and started running this past week. They'll keep ya busy. I can't wait till I can afford more trucks, cause I know right where to put em. And their dispatchers rock! :D

Have they revamped their pay scale? I remember it as a D unit getting .80/mile a number of years back, though they had tons of loads. When fuel was 1.00/gal this could work... but not now. Also, it seems they've cut back on their trucks (either voluntarily or not) as there aren't as many sitting...

Very well put! The only thing I can add is, sometimes the dispatcher is in a jam to get rid of a run. Maybe taking that run will get you a good run later when you're not due for it... who knows. I've heard of backstabbing dispatchers who suddenly forget your favors, but I've never had that...

There's no big deal about hazmat to Canada. If it's flamable or explosive, you take a ferry. It takes longer, but customs there is usually much easier to deal with.

When has anything the big three done make sense? You're forgetting where expediting comes in, Ateam...ppl screw up. Throwing it on an LTL truck and not having it picked up for a week or more is usually not an option for hot freight. So, I doubt it'll be going down because of fuel prices alone.

Leo, that really sucks!!! Someone spends that much on a truck only to watch it start to fall apart. Ya think quality control means something. Good luck on getting things done quickly so you can get going. I know the bills don't stop because the truck is.

Has anyone tried to get a fuel card from a company like Wright Express? If so, do you find it worth having? Was it easy to get?

I like the idea of the espar, but it says it has a small draw on the batteries. I would like a generator that doesn't draw on my batteries, has air and heat, and has outlets. Does anyone know of where to get a used one? I can't afford 7,200 for a new one... though I'd get it if I had the money.
