    The Puppy Project

I've decided that I CAN share the sleeper with a companion - as long as it's a canine. I've owned and trained several dogs, but all were too big to consider in a truck, so I'd like some feedback to help me choose the right breed of codriver. I know a lot of you have dogs, so help me out please...

    + sign

Not 100% sure, but I think the + indicates a member who is on your personal 'friends' list.

We don't like your kind around here.

One WM placed a note on my window (I was sleeping, with the curtains up) that cited the damage caused by trucks as the reason for banning them - and looking round the parking lot here (Pilot in Seville) at all the yellow poles leaning in crazy directions, I understand. And I still like...

    good fleet owner

You may be right, Suds, but I'd quit driving all together, before sharing my "living space" with someone who isn't a partner off, as well as on the job. I do envy those who have such a partnership, but I can't just make it happen, and I won't settle for less. I can always tend bar somewhere...

We don't like your kind around here.

In some cases, the decision is out of the WalMart's hands, due to local ordinances, and sometimes, it's an individual manager's choice - but either way, the point is to know ahead of time which WalMarts we shouldn't bother trying to spend the night at, is what I thought.

We don't like your kind around here.

Near Atlanta, I've never had a problem parking at the WalMart on 20, exit 78 in Conyers. I like the idea of posting those that don't want us there, and will make a note of them in future. Right now, the one that comes to mind is in Albuquerque.

    About to take the plung

Very good stuff, Dodgeboy. Not much help for those who already have a monthly note on their van, or don't live near Detroit, but helpful nonetheless, if only to show the kind of commitment it takes to even scrape by.

If you do a Google search for "countdown clocks", you'll get lots of those links.

The Thread You Can Use When You Need To

If the house in that video isn't on Elmdale St, (in Brook Park, Oh), there's one just like it - in fact, there are two. They seem to have been trying to "one up" each other with the lights for years now, and it gets more extravagant every year, lol. :D

Memo to dispatch: you don't have to call me darlin, darlin - just get the right name on the direct deposit, ok? ;)

    your pay speed

I'd also call their bluff, by scanning & emailing the paperwork, or faxing it. Then see what happens.....

    your pay speed

None for me. I'd wonder whether Trippak is the issue, if I were you.

    Maybe dumb question

I have a load info sheet that I designed, on which I list all pertinent info: pay per mile, load miles, deadhead, fuel surcharge, extra pay (tolls, DH, etc) which I send to the truck owner with the weekly paperwork. He pays 100% FS, 60% load pay, and the extras according to who has to pay the...

    About to take the plung

Bbird: did you read Moot's post about a load offer @ 70 cents per mile, with a fuel surcharge of 7 cents per mile? (He is experienced, and runs very smart, just FYI). How many miles would you need to run at rates like that, to make the money you require each week? When you figure that, ask how...

    ID on Equipment

As does nail polish, which is what I use on small items. I like the duct tape on load bars, thanks for posting it. :)

    Need a good laugh ?

I'm not talking about helping some bozo lie - frauds always get caught, sooner or later - I'm saying that some folks just aren't great at writing what would be an accurate description. I'm glad I've never had to do it, and still don't \feel like laughing at the ones who do. Oh, and if that last...

    Need a good laugh ?

You left out the word "second" there, Flying Fingers. lol. But that's what I mean: instead of ridiculing, can't people who would hire teams offer advice on what to include in their ads?
