    Degrees of separation

I know what you mean. I am 'chatting' on the phone the other night in Nebraska and here comes some FedEx guy who we are talking about at that moment.

    Confused about weigh stations

There is a lot of confusion about this, in Michigan you are supposed to scale but it seems they don't care anymore. Now I always scaled in Kentucky when I had my van because it says commercial vehicles must scale.

Michelle Let the Cat Out of the Bag

Layout, See I don't think you understand. When the war ended, we have a huge population who were conditioned not to be leaders but to be followers. This opened the door for 'experts' (Dr. Spock comes to mind) which further caused us to have a change in everything we did or thought. All of it...

    Exhibiting at the Wilmington Expo

Linda, You brought up a very good point; The one advantage a company can have is to put in their flyer questions that a owner or driver should be asking and either add answers to it for their specific company or entice the owner or driver to engage them to get those questions answered. Maybe...

Michelle Let the Cat Out of the Bag

OH! So you pushing 80? I'm talking about the people who raised us boomers, not the boomers themselves. I won't get into the problems they caused, we won the war but lost the peace.

    Exhibiting at the Wilmington Expo

John, I was just at one of these shows and was kinda of turned off at the attitude of the people in the booth. They ignored me, and actually many of the people milling around trying to get info. So I would start with putting people in the booth that will engage others as they walk by. But it...

Michelle Let the Cat Out of the Bag

Instigated? I think they were funding it. I blame the older generation, the "greatest" generation for breeding these people. They do one thing right in their lives but mess everything else up for the rest of us. :p

    Health and Fitness

Well What excuse? I didn't say I couldn't or wasn't I am saying the reasoning behind much of the movement that is being made in the last few years is motivated by money – health is a secondary issue for the driving force behind this. This goes for the regulations too. It looks like...

    QC Time Out

Why even bother to have the thing check messages when it is in a sleep mode? I had mine set to shut down after 30 minutes and not to go back on until a 'key on' event (turning the ignition on). If the carrier or an agent wants to get a hold of me, I have a cell phone.

    All state express

Well I guess I will repeat what I asked in the other thread, I would like to hear more about the new ASE program.

    Health and Fitness

Linda, Yes 15 minutes is a great refresher but nevertheless the overall issue for many of us is the stress of the road. Like 15 minute nap (if done propely is a great refresher), 15 minutes of activity will do wonders as you know. As for the carrier's pet, I wasn't addressing specifically...

    Hello From AUSTRALIA!!

Hello, welcome. I have the same engine and from the records, mine drop a valve at 350,000 miles. My cam is alright with 719,000 on it now and the Oil analysis comes back in good shape. I recommend getting the oil checked every oil change at least. I don't know about the harding of the cams...

    Health and Fitness

Lawrence, It is a great subject but for a lot of us, and don't get me wrong but it is not the eating, the exercise or other factors that we don't or do do, it is the stress. I have read a lot from the "experts" who seem to be cashing in on this industry, a lot of them got it really wrong -...

LETTER: My freedom is not for sale at any price

Actually Pligrim, a long time ago, some russian dude mentioned that if the opposition read and used some of the rules the reds used during the revolution, the reds would have pretty much lost. The republicans are just like the opposition of the reds, they are scattered, they just don't get it...

    Bentz is now spelled Bolt.....

Piper, Not really, I've seen the newer stuff and seen the same practices they used on mine. It comes down to using construction standards that have been long established and using therm right from the start, not trying to mature a product by using cheap practices than adapting the correct...

Van - better more volume or more weight capacity?

Bentley, I wouldn't even bother considering any cube/box van over 10k. Speaking from experience, the limitations with three of the four majors in this niche market and in general most of the industry would not make the restrictions of logging that you will face worth while. Most of the...
