    So it starts ...

It took Carter 3 years to get this, but Obama has done it in 18 months and no less the New York Times and a very liberal guy. Wrong Track Distress by Bob Herbert, NYT Op-Ed

    Can They Drag Their Feet....

From the administration; '... even though the offer is a good one from other countries, we don't have cubic meters of oil, we have gallons so their metric ships may not work ... and that is why the President is not considering a waiver. '

    CSA 2010 Question

You're not thinking like the carrier. If they start canceling contracts while trying to maintain some sort of appearance that they care, do you think they would attract people to their company? Using CSA 2010 gives them an out, it shifts the blame on to the owner/driver who has to deal with...

    CSA 2010 Question

Not really. Because the violations are still the same. The carrier has to respond to them instead of mitigating it through paper work. The problem I see is the abuse which has been discussed by the ATA and OOIDA and me here.

    2nd. Amendment

Well I would agree but the issue is the right of the individual vs. the right of the state. The state loses and should with the fundamentals of our rights. The states were given the tenth, which spells it out plainly. In the case of a 2nd amendment issue, the state's right to regulate it as...

Oh black water, keep on rollin' (plumbing question)

Mine holds 6 gallons when really full, I think it is a 7 gallon tank. It will be emptied tomorrow because I have 3 gallons in it now (selling tickets to that event if anyone is interested) and it has been a week since the last time. The biggest issue I have is venting it when it gets more...

    CSA 2010 Question

I don't know about all of that. CSA 2010 is based on existing regulations and shifts the burden onto the states and the operators, but handing the operational requirements right to the carrier - again this is all based on existing laws. Phil's example is slightly flawed, seeing Fog lights...

which driver has the slickest chevy 2500?

The curb weight should be close to the 3500 I think, I may be wrong but it seems what there is a serious limitation with setting up a van if it is a 2500 GM product.

    2nd. Amendment

Well one thing that has popped up a bit is Roberts and others are not going to jam the anti-gun crowd with the rulings but to whittle away to some of the more restrictive regulations and then define it as a solid right, which seems to be the start with today's decision.

    pop up

My God who would want one of them popup campers in the first place. I was talked into getting one and it was such a PIA that I ended up ... wait ... what popups ... not campers?

    2nd. Amendment

I may be a bit wrong but with Roberts, they have heard two cases that have to do with gun control and it seems to me they will hear more in the future. This seems to be a good change to the court.

People don't realize the amount of different spices and peppers out of Mexico or what they use. A lot still think it is all about tacos and taco bell. Well if you are in Texas, get avocados. There is a farm somewhere on the way back from Laredo that will sell them to you just a few cents above...

    The traitor driver

Well crap scuba, your point number 2 happens a lot. I have seen a few vans that cover up their panther logos on the doors and run their own loads. Saw one in NC a few weeks back, I had to look twice because some sort of "award" stuff was on the back door.

    CSA 2010 Question

The points don't - that's right but there is a question of abuse from the company either to mitigate their level of safety or by ridding themselves of owners/drivers. Imagine E-1 wanted to rid themselves of the 150 or so Sprinters because they were tired of some drivers complaining all the...

    Can They Drag Their Feet....

Yea and?? So if they get hit hard with taxes, is it BPs fault? NO So like Katrina, 9/11 and Pearl Harbor, maybe it is time for Obama to step up and demand congress pass a bill exempting them from taxes? I thought he was the president? Oh that's right Bush had the republican congress pass...

Yep you got it. I will head home with some oranges, watermelons and pecans ... oh and tomatoes. I may have room for onions. I think I have $30 in all of it. I visited the wildest Wal-mart I have ever been in, can't remember the city name, it is by Port St Lucie, it has a complete Mexican...
