Caterpillar to add 325 jobs in Sanford

I agree and most of the libraries that were built outside of the major cities were built by people who gave money with the purpose of building them for the people. Carnegie is one who build hundreds of libraries across the country, Morgan another, Ford, Cousins, Dodge and so on. They are...

Rlent, Justice? I'm confused, wouldn't it be justice if the General would be alive?

Will You Miss The Bush Tax Cuts???

OVM, leave the Canadian/European mindset for a moment and learn about why we took the approach to the entire economics of the country differently. Once we became a country, our approach was to allow individual freedoms flourish and we used exports and imports for a small tax funding of the...

    Justic and Truth, FINALLY!!

Layout, there is a lot more to the war than what is been said. What surprised me was the limitations of the allied forces, like not bombing sanctuary air bases or targeting some population centers.

Caterpillar to add 325 jobs in Sanford

Xiggi, First the cost per job to the state outstrips the advantage of the revenue produced by the individuals who lands the job. While it sounds great for those who are unemployed, the actual cost to them in lost tax revenue is not made up by them so they suffer more in the long run by reduced...

    Serious Question on Cummins Engine

OK, not to slam you but the techs need to go back to school. New thermostat? Why? Is it running hot? Are they actually guessing at it or actually taking the time to check the temps with the computer and a thermometer to see if there actually is a problem? A low pressure sensor? Why? Did...

    Justic and Truth, FINALLY!!

Layout, It is like an executive, there are not too many who can not be sharp and get there. The problem is some of them are egotistical and arrogant which leads them to be dis-honorable. I have yet seen, read or know of a General who in war time didn't do some mean or nasty unethical things...

Will You Miss The Bush Tax Cuts???

That's a lie. Downstream, the less money in the system for people to spend, it affects people below that income. One blaring example is the luxury tax and how that slammed the large boat industry. That was supposed to only affected the "rich" but it put a lot of people out of work and ruined...

Caterpillar to add 325 jobs in Sanford

While we lost 71,000 plus jobs, an addition of 325 means little - especially when there are such tax incentives. Makes one wonder if the Fair Tax would help out instead of flushing all this money down the drain for a job.

    Double Eagle closing

You know this is part of the business cycle, and it is part of this industry. Nothing seems to last, people come up with better products or better service and the old companies go under because they can't or won't change.

    Justic and Truth, FINALLY!!

I don't get it, Layout you know this is another "trash the establishment" piece at the same time correcting the media's guilt feelings. The guy took the fall for his Commander In Chief as did McCrystal. The problem is without knowing how it works, it makes it look like he was demoted as a...

    How should a contract read

It matters where the court is. Not all states have the same laws and their courts may not allow a contractor disputes to be settled in SCC. Jurisdiction matters for a lot of reasons. Even if you are a driver, get a lawyer to advise you. Let them read it and explain it to you. Go through it...

Home / News Poll: Wyoming taxpayers prefer Interstate 80 toll over gas tax to repair

Re: Home / News Poll: Wyoming taxpayers prefer Interstate 80 toll over gas tax to rep The states should not decide where the money goes as much as it should not decide the specs for the road what is paid for under federal funds. Why isn't this been done? We have had such a problem for the past...

Will You Miss The Bush Tax Cuts???

Well it is amazing. We sit here and know that most of the small and medium businesses are holding off on purchases, hiring and even selling in some cases because of the ambiguity of the tax question all the while our congress is hard at work pushing a jobs bill through to help public sector jobs...

    Thinking of trucking

First what works for one, doesn't work for another. I have friends who are making a killing at FedEx but I didn't. It all depends. Second, at $60 a week for health care, don't quit. That's rather cheap for BCBS. I think we are paying more and this is with a large group discount. Just your...

Will You Miss The Bush Tax Cuts???

OVM, The IRS doesn't write the tax code, the congress does and that is where the problem is.
