What is all the talk about fedex ?

What talk? This is all normal. The cheerleaders say there is nothing wrong and those who have escaped the purple haze say there is. Now many of them are seeing sub-standard offers hit their newly installed automated "Brazil" style dispatch system and seem to be upset at all these changes...

    2011 Nissan NV2500 Van

May not be an extended van even in the third year.

So I assume they are installing it as a dual boot system, which just complicates things even more.

    EOBR for Solo Drivers

The employee/contractor thing has nothing to do with the movement of the truck or EOBRs. Even line 5/personal use does not even come into play. As Leo pointed out, technically "they don't have control over how/when the truck can be moved" but they do have control over how they can use you and...

    Question about Detroiter Truck Stop

Sorry for this but the place has always been a dump, remembering it in the '70s and 80's, it hasn't changed much. IHOP helped, getting rid of Citgo helped but outside of that, I rarely go there for any reason.

    EOBR for Solo Drivers

But Layout, it really doesn't matter how you are with record keeping or how professional you are. The problem is not with just FedEx (even though they are bad enough), it is a problem with a lot of companies that have this attitude that you are all children and they know better - all the time...

Barry Obama Takes a Lemon for a Test Drive

You know it wasn't even a 'test drive' it was a valet move of 7 feet. The thing that bothers me is these two issues - other than having the guy wave to me and others sitting behind barricades trying to get out of the area; 1 - GM refuses to publish the actual MPG figures for the Volt. It is...

    Another Life After FedExCC

Well don't take this wrong but for some reason those who have them $2500 a month C unit camper payments and are dependent on one company to make the payment seem to make bad business decisions based on the one thing - they seem to think that the company cares.

    EOBR for Solo Drivers

Well Layout, it is a company thing. FedEx made the move to better allocate resources and reduce costs. What better way than to have logs transmitted at the end of the work day into the database while having a tighter control over where the trucks are and how many hours they have. It, for all...

    EOBR for Solo Drivers

Why thank the DOT? If the company has instituted the EOBR, then it is the company, not the DOT. BUT here is something from a solo without line 5, it takes a lot of planning to get it right. Turn down the load, adjust the times for the delivery (have done this a bit) or move.

    Another Life After FedExCC

I would not agree. It seems they do have some 'high value' loads and special handling loads get handed off to "outside qualified carriers".

    Fools Gold

Ah ... look it isn't just him ... it isn't just Fox News show hosts ... but a lot of people who are sponsored by goldline and other companies pushing the idea that gold is the only way to go. The one thing I keep hearing is FDR took gold off the market because everyone was hording it, but that...

What ever chef, I wanted to know, and if he is a big boy, he could have defended himself or told me to go to h*ll himself. I think he's a good guy, just don't like it when good ones are taken advantage of.

Will You Miss The Bush Tax Cuts???

You didn't read it. It seems to be cheap, but it isn't because there are miles involved and from everything I seen, the trucks are not sitting idle for a day at a time.

    Another Life After FedExCC

How do you figure that? Were you with them when they were Roberts? They have little influence in the market, if they did then we would see a lot more cheap package shipping style rates across the board but have we?

    6.0 Powerstroke Good-Bad-whatever?

no! that's 30k too short. :D What was rebuilt on it? GM has yet to find a million mile truck - officially they claim they have, they trotted out a few that may be over a million miles but not one of the owners seems to have kept records like they should have.

Will You Miss The Bush Tax Cuts???

FedEx contractors outside of CC seem to start at a buck a mile, some even as high as $1.25 a mile - all miles, and get discounted fuel to boot.

Ah... if it is a leased vehicle, then there is a lot of things that can be done. If I was in Tj's shoes, I would be complaining to the leasing company first and then the insurance company about the delays. Why a dodge dealer? I thought they were not allowed to do repairs that would affect...
