chevy or ford cargo van ?

4.8 in a cutaway? No way would I consider it. Sorry but you will have a hard time with the wind load of the box with the 4.8 and a 3.73 in the rear. 6.0 will give you a better overall mileage than the 4.8 with a box. I think a lot of people think smaller is better but it matters in what...

Lets counter with some good news...:)

Where's the news about Caterpillar selling all those tractors to the Chinese? Opps that's the new defense contract they got. Still it's good.

    We Bail Em' Out....

Actually YES they 'have to' refer you but that does not mean a termination does not happen. Because their involvement ends the second the termination takes effect under CFR 382.605, there is no more reason for them to be involved with a contractor at that point. No they don't have to pay for it.

    TA Menu and food choices

Yep its that paranoid feeling again .... I am starting to feel stalked. First Bates than WFB, what's next? I was there today, I also picked up dinner at the Chinese place right around the corner later on. WFB got sprinters, so Turtle can talk Sprinter with the owners.

    transporter Diet aug 15

The sedate life style coupled with the crap food people eat is the reason for most of the diabetes and fatness. There are so many chemicals even in organic food, it is surprising we are still alive. Even cutting out all sugar, corn syrup and other sweeteners does not mean you will lose weight...

    We Bail Em' Out....

Actually the guy who I spoke to did speak for the entire union at one time. If I remember right YOU guys voted him in as President of the UAW - Doug Fraser. I met him when he was a visiting professor at Lawrence Institute of Technology, he was teaching labor history and labor relations and...

    We Bail Em' Out....

Oiler, I have heard that for more than 35 years and can't say that it is true, experience means little when the fact is that the union is an antiquated bunch of greedy selfish people who screw over their workers. The workers for the most part would be a lot better off, and so would be the tax...

    TA Menu and food choices

Leo, I understand your grandma was a great cook and like mine who used very little spices, mine mostly used spices in baking but I think our tastes evolved a bit. Many look for something to bring out the flavor of meat, like pork or goat, sometimes just a touch of spice will do it, not...

    The Truth-O-Meter Says:

Witness, the info comes from the IRS themselves, not a website not conjecture but actual fact. They have changed strategies again because from the administration to the treasury department to the IRS, the strategy to close loop holes, bring up audit revenue reclamation numbers and the changes in...

    Numbers, Worst in History

I actually think too much is put into new home sales numbers.

    We Bail Em' Out....

Oiler, Dude the problem is the union protects the people who should get fired. The workers do not fight the union because of some 'brotherhood' BS which doesn't seem to extend outside to other unions (want to talk about strike solidarity?). Once the general rank and file demand that there is a...

Federal proposal would cripple FedEx delivery

This is FedEx stuff, needs to be moved to the FedEx forum quickly. Seriously who cares? I mean let's look at this a different way, FedEx is already in trouble for their management practices, they have controlled the contractor to the point they are nothing but employees. They, like Wal-Mart...

Pilgrim, Why do you insult Borat? I mean the guy has it together and should be the communications director at the WH, gibbs is like that guy in that movie who had the pet goat.

    CSA & the sixth amendment

Easy, I understand what you are getting at but read my post again and look for the clarification. OK here is what I understand the difference is. A right is not given to us but the government is limited to what they can do to us under our constitution, you do not have to go through any...

    Could Iran be right?

Take away the issue of their nuke program for a moment and just focus on the country as one who is targeted by the UN like our has been. Could they be right by telling the UN to take a hike and shove it? Should we follow their lead?

short belting the M-2 with MBE

Actually if they charged me for more than one trip, I would have lost it with them. Grab the belts you think it will be and then go from there, no excuse for multiple trips. The number is a common one, I just thought that you had it handy. The compressor is what goes bad, the bearings in the...

    TA Menu and food choices

Before T/A does another publicity stunt, maybe they need to start with their personal and hire people who are not robots. I have yet met a "chef" from any T/A, but I have met line cooks, short order cooks and a bunch of others who were just hired to do a job. Chef is an overused term to mean...
