    Slimy Cowards

Cheri, Actually the tax cuts for the "rich" spurred a number of investments which led to jobs. Some of the startups in 2002 and 2003 were funded by these investments that ended up being recession proof. There is no correlation between the tax cuts and revenue with the really wealthy because...

How are teams dividing the hours?

OK please explain this. If you start at midnight driving stop at 8am to go into the sleeper, then do three in the sleeper which stops ate 11am, does the clock stop for your drive time?

    insanity finding a good driver

You're assuming too much. 20 is a good target but you should think along the lines of 16. You are talking about plain old vans, right? Fuel is one expense, does the driver pay tolls? How about other things for the van? At 85 cents a mile, that's cheap if that's all you can get. I would...

    We Bail Em' Out....

Letzrock, WOW! Layout, I keep hearing this from my in-laws - he doesn't want to work or he is not looking for a job. I got fed up with them and asked them if they want to see the BS that I go through, which they refused to even get near my truck. I then described what I have to do to make...

    We Bail Em' Out....

Which part? Cheri, The entire us vs. them came from the unions, no one else. This was not an issue until there was a need to bring in the european mentality and mindset to the public in the latter part of the 19th century. Here is my real b*tch about this, you all scream about the American...

The Delphi Disaster or How barry and the UAW Screwed the Workers

Oiler, I am sorry if this is a nasty comment it's been a bad night and I am trying to be respectful. Even though I understand your plight and sort of sympathize with you, I can't help but to think that the UAW has caused two things to happen - 1 - they have programmed their members to think...

    We Bail Em' Out....

Why would the company want any entity to be within their walls which is based on an adversarial relationship? The UAW is not like the unions of Europe, where they actually work with the company, not against it. I think if the union needs to be the spokes person for the company, then either...

The Delphi Disaster or How barry and the UAW Screwed the Workers

Actually the offer to help set it up for the UAW took place in the 60's. Other unions went this way to protect the worker because the workers were mobile - meaning that they would go from company to company and still have the pension. Reuther saw the crap Hoffa went though and because he was...

    Ford van electrical/alternator/starter problems

If you have 6 or 8 on the original, you will need to change it. The diameter doesn't matter in your case, if it was idling a lot, I mean a lot, then yes it would but with you driving on the road, no.

    We Bail Em' Out....

Oiler, That even happened in 1934. The strikers were very violent and it ended up a big mess. The battle of the overpass (different event) was used as a rally cry for the UAW, but in fact Reuther and others were following the Teamsters way of recruiting and getting into a lot of smaller...

    TA Menu and food choices

NO I go to Kowalski on Joe. Compo or if I get a chance, at the factory on Holbrook. BUT I was at Petsmart this morning and there was a panther van following me into the parking lot and another one sitting in the meiers lot when I was leaving - 110XX Ford.

Again WE the USA Must FIX This

IT is not just the liberals, it is all of them. Once upon a time there was this man who became president and said "we must do away with the department of education because schools need to be controlled at the local level" but never did a thing. He vowed in his state of his mind address that...

    The Truth-O-Meter Says:

Up to $30k was considered middle class in the 60's. Remember that the middle class was not labor or auto workers but them and everything up to and including doctors, lawyers and so on.

    Slimy Cowards

"We are for making sure that the middle-class Americans do not get a tax increase. And we're going to make sure that happens," Hoyer said What do they really think we are all dumb? We are going to still have tax increases in other areas. I wish these idiots wouldn't fall for the words "Bush...

The Delphi Disaster or How barry and the UAW Screwed the Workers

Ultimetly the people who paty for these pensions are the same ones that pay for the bail outs and the other 'needed' help, the US taxpayers. TOO bad that pensions are gone, that should not be the problem of the US taxpayer. They still have SS to depend on like the rest of us. The UAW had a...

    Ford van electrical/alternator/starter problems

I would first follow the battery and alternator cables back to where they end up at. A lot of the times they will end up at the starter or a junction block and that is where the problem may be. I usually remove all the cable ends, check them to see their condition and clean them all and replace...

Kudos to EO's Own Gotta Go Jeanie...

It's great that this is being brought to our attention but the I heart thing ... well ... that can really bring some grief to a number of us guys with our wives. :D

What is your bottom RPM you will run for.

My God, what else should be taken in account? Wind velocity at the delivery? Temperatures while traveling? Planet alignment? Keep it simple, start with your costs then add in the revenue you need. If there is an exception, like a move or a favor, then take that into account.
